Re: Thinking of becoming an escort
escort is a good job as long as you are smart.
how much fee is up to you. You are your own boss.
I'm glad to see at least one serious post in here. An honest question was asked.
Yes, as an escort it's a good idea to be sociable enough to interact effectively with people as well - and, sexually, being versatile is pretty much required. You'll be asked to do things which you may have little experience with, or which may not appeal to you. If you don't do much more than handjobs and sucking cock, that will limit your clientele. It's also a very good idea to learn how to do massage, and I think that escorts who include massage in their ads/publicity are often more successful.
Please think about the various methods of sex, and consider your boundaries, and of course you want to be sure that you'll be able to cater to whatever his idea of satisfaction is, before the actual meeting happens. Somebody who wants something exotic, kinky or perhaps even dangerous won't always be considerate enough to ask you if you can oblige him or not. If you're thinking of doing this independently, I think it's legitimate to ask the client about his preferences, so that you don't have nasty surprises after he's already made the 22-mile trip to meet with you (or vice versa).
Don't forget to think out the scenario of a trick wanting you to do some kind of drugs with him. Things of that sort can be very against what you're comfy with.
If you would be working for a pimp, I'm not as aware of how preferences are discussed in advance, and somebody would have to educate me as well. I'm guessing that a pimp might recommend Justin or Derek or Larry if as prospect is looking for a muscular bottom, or maybe it's between Bill and Foley if the caller is looking for water sports, etc.?? I guess the advantages of working for somebody, is that you could hone in on whatever you're best at, and the clients who call for something you don't do will instead be referred to somebody else. (Is this how the pimp works things? I'm kind of guessing here.) I'm also guessing that, because of this, you may not need to be AS versatile as working on your own - but whatever kind of service you offer, you'd BETTER be good at it. Clients will be paying a good chunk of change, and if you're really good at what you do, you'll start getting repeat business. You'd want that to happen whether you're working for somebody, or free-lancing.
But working for somebody, you're not paid nearly as well as doing it on your own, either. I think that the pimp/agency keeps something like 3/4 of the rate and you get the remaining 1/4. I'm only guessing from one experience, the guy was $150 for 90 minutes (this was a good while ago) and he said he'd get $40 out of it, but I can't guarantee he was truthful either.
How much to charge? That's up to you, and it can even be affected by whether you "know that you're REALLY good at it" or not, how versatile you are, etc. Unless you're really totally out in the boonies, you can get some idea of what is being charged in your area by crawling on all-fours through the nooks and crannies of the internet, and finding escorts. I can't remember the names of any of the sites, but there are major free sites for finding escorts and often pictures and rates are posted as well.
I didn't look at your profile - if you're a workout musclehunk or something, that's another factor which can affect what you charge (in which case I'm implying charging some sort of premium). There are so many factors involved, and even as I write this post it kind of occurs to me that "This is a LOT more complex than I ever thought!"
Oh...and good luck...and be careful. (And, again, I would have really liked to see more serious responses in here...)
