Can I -- Should I cahnge my name?

I recently introduced my Mazda 3 to a 300 pound deer at 80 miles per hour. The deer didnt care for the meeting and the mazda didnt fair to well either. SO I recently purchased a Ford F150 Lariat. So I wonder should I change my personna on JUB? Now I dont wanna change to avoid the person people have come to know but Mazda3boi feels empty when I wont own one soon.

F150boi sounds silly.
Lariat boy makes me out to be a cowboy and I am not
If I am sticking to material things that I enjoy to identify myself on JUB then I could go with Desert Eagle or dog whisperer.....but all of that sounds stupid...

I just dont know.

I chose my name because I had to have one to register.

It took a little while, if I recall, because my choices kept getting rejected because others were using them.

I don't give a shit about online personna.

I finally just picked something that was unique to me. I am the sixth of nine sons and I figured there wouldn't be too many other JUBbers wanting that name.

If I were you, I'd pick something that more describes a permanent part of your personality or life and not something transitory like a car. Also, ditch the "boi" part....it's so passe and not sexy.

Just make sure we know who you are because I like reading your stuff.

With mine, it was a no-brainer. I'm just a dude that lives in Orlando. Nothing mystical or magical about it. Kind of plain, I think.

i had picked mine only because i needed it.

at the time i had a crash on a guy and used his initials and added 24/7 to finish it out.

for good or bad my persona is pretty much how i am in real life. sad i know.

When I first joined jub I had a name different than the one I have now. I had to change it due to some techinical problems back then. The offered me the chance to keep the same one or change it. I chose to change.
The name I selected has no signicance to me..... just needed to come up with something. I've stuck with it for a couple of years now.
And since I PM more than I write on the posts/threads most people know my real name.

Well I agree with the Boi part. Thats really just a lame attempt at chicken farming. I am married now and while chicken will always hold a special place in my heart, I have my happy meal.

I still am undecided. So much is changin right now I may have to leave the name alone for a bit. I simply dont have enough time to devote to my online presence so i can make a new name stick to the old one. I do have two great ideas now that will work I have no doubt. I can use the first initials of my four fur headed companions. That rings in at 256 unique letter combinations. Anyways I am rambling.

I know how you feel, Mazda. I lost my beloved Thunderbird to a murderous deer several years ago. I'm not sure I'm over it yet.

And springboksfan is really outdated for me. I don't get to watch rugby anymore, so I sorta feel like a fraud. But I've had the damn name for almost 5 years, so if I change it at all, it'll just be to SBF.

Actually, why not just retain your current name? It doesn't have to be your present car, just one of your favorite cars.

I agree for now I will keep my old name. I once joked that I made it because Mazda means "wisdom" in the Iranian Avestan language. But that was much too wise for me to have constructed in advance.
