Can I stop certain people posting in my threads?

Re: Can I stop certain people posting in my thread

The thread belongs to everyone who posted in that thread.

You obviously didn't understand what my post is even about. Please read again and then come back with a reply that is pertinent to what I stated. Thank you.

its like a group chit chat in real life. if you didn't start a chit chat, someone will. so no one owns a thread.

I was thinking about this the other night. I think it would be a good idea.

Like mega-ignore? It might be. Is it something that could actually be done in terms of programming/coding?

One of the cons might be sort of extreme balkanization. "No, you ain't comin' into my threads!" Putting someone on ignore so you can't see what they write is one thing, but deciding that you don't want them to be able to access your conversation at all is another.

Hmmm.... would it work as a perquisite for JUB supporter status? Ability to custom-privatize your threads?

Sunshine, what were *you* thinking, in terms of pros?

Re: Can I stop certain people posting in my thread

Gee.....

And I missed all of this.

I never understand why people think that they should be allowed to create a thread, say whatever they want in it, insult everyone else who doesn't agree with them, deliver some of the most outrageously ridiculous and intellectually unsound arguments, repeatedly derail their own topic and then come boohooing when the weight of their own posting history comes back to bite them on the ass.

If you want people to stop giggling when they see your dick, then stop pulling down your pants in public.
