I've seen these, although not in recent history. This type of shower seems to be the first thing that goes goodbye when a remodel/update project gets done. :cry: I'm guessing most of the installations I've seen dated to late 1960s-1970s.

As I recall, the joy of this style is that you can look straight ahead, and you can easily see a good view of frontal nudity of the users on the other side of the pole. Thus you can stare, while pretending you are minding your own business, as decreed by Men's Locker Room Etiquette. :lol:

A gym I went to a few years ago was an older facility, and it had pole showers just like the picture. Unfortunately, the place was usually nearly empty, so there were few good sightings.
