I also got 67 percent and I was actually trying lol. I think next time I am going to purposely do bad to see how low a score i get.

Ooooo, what site? Only trivia tournament online I've found is in a chat room that I can't figure out how to update the flash player for. Been years, I miss it.

It is funtrivia.com

I sent you a link in PM to the one I play but there are thousands of different games going on...

Enh. Li'l Bit has a piece of paper on his office wall that says he has a Ph.D. He doesn't need affirmation from an online quiz.
He's here!! A face from the past!! :hurray::wow:Now, show me your tits.

you guys are too smart for me...I'm not taking it for fear of being....well....like telly

That would indeed be very TELLING, wouldn't it?

Yes, but this was free and took only minutes - without having to get dressed. I could print out the results page and tape it to the wall too...if i had a printer.

Most of the time when something is free you get exactly what you pay for. Or don't pay for, as the case may be.

A few of you guys have said you had to pick one of two choices. I had four choices for most questions. I wonder if we had the same questions?

I just took it again and remembered all of the questions and answers. I also kept track. There were 70 questions. Two had 4 choices, three had 3 choices, and the rest were 2 choices.

Well fuck, where the hell were they hiding those third an fourth choices.

Then I took a different test than you. Weird. I copied the link. Should have been the same.

As it turns out I have an account there, I'd forgotten it existed. The reminder is greatly appreciated =)

Cool! Was that you who played today?

I can't even remember how long I have played in this one...maybe over 10 years every day?

There is another one I played in too BUT the questions were endless because I think it was for grains of rice to help feed people.....something like that...and I stopped because I was always torn on how long to play for and felt like shit when I stopped because it was to help a good cause.

I want my trivia to only take a few minutes tops....

97%, PhD it said.

I'd say all those questions were general knowledge questions that any American high school graduate should have known.

Nah. As an example there were at least 3 answers involving Shakespeare on mine, one with coinciding time periods of lit quotations and two of content information. What is decided in a school system for a curriculum is not similar everywhere - there is no collective American promise that the stories each system reviews will be the same material. So the assumption that art and history particulars that the quiz asked is no gauruntee they've been gone over for one to know the answers to. A few of those questions were terribly worded. And I'm pretty sure the assertions on one of them was wrong going by the claims in the phrasing.

Besides, have you seen the usa's collective school systems lately? They're not known for their accuracy in either history or the various arts. I didn't even consider some of the classes to be past a junior high level in 12th, in one school it was science and math, in another it was their literature teachings. In the lit I was always placed in the 'most difficult' class.

Er, yes? I believe quite a few hundred prolly played today, tho, and I think it listed me under the wrong name, or at least the second one I'd inadvertently chosen while trying to sign up today before I recognized the placement. Which was how I figured out the sign in through the link was a bit wacky because the profile doesn't contain the same options as my original moniker there.

I adore the rice grains one. The vocab is a hair more difficult than reading someone that's swallowed a thesaurus, it's nice. Back when I remembered it I played till about three people daily - after that my concentration seriously flags so attempts are a lost cause.

- fucking spellcheck and damned the autocorrect, too!

- mind you, that's an American serving of rice so not the amount it would be if it were someone's cultural or national staple. Better not have been bit rice either.

Obviously it's bullshit but I'll take it.

"Your Score: 81% PhD Congratulations - you got your PhD! It's clear that you've put in some solid postgrad years."
