I can't. Not even with a simple cotton sheet. It's not claustrophobia, but it's a feeling of not being able to breathe. But I know a few people who can curl up even under heavy comforters and sleep like babies.

Not me, though.

Nope.

my limbs must be entirely on the bed so that a snake cannot reach up and bite an exposed limb hanging in the air

who the hell knows where I came up with that

but it is what it is

I prefer to sleep with the head snuggled up in the crack of someone else's ass....oh, you mean THAT head...no, I can't sleep with it under the covers but I do like to sleep with my face snuggled in the neck of my lover or vice versa!

i HAVE to. there are spiders EVERYWHERE in my house. just makes me feel a bit more secure.

i can't.

im VERY claustrophobic =[
also, i just cannot BREATHE for crap!

and when theres mosquitoes around...

oh god! -.-
no sleep till mars. >.>

I like the environment I am in to be HOT. I was in Dallas most of the summer and it was 80 to 106 daily. I sleep under a sheet and had a comforter all pulled up over my head.

When I was in college, I slept with the sheet and blanket over my head. The high quality mattress that the school provided sagged. I am thin, like Centraltyler’s roommate (see post), often it looked as if there was no one in the bed. Once and a while someone would sit on me thinking there was no one in the bed.

If my head is completely under the covers I just can't sleep.. I freak out a bit. :help:

I can. I love sleeping in a cold room, so I usually make a little cocoon out of my blankets.

Need air to breath, so can't be completely under the covers. But, if ice was forming on the windows INSIDE the room, I might rethink my options. lol

Oh yes. Even better if it's really cold... But subconsciously there must be some kind of opening somewhere. I just hate it when underneath the sheet it gets all filled up with (I think) the air you've already breathed and it gets unbelievably warm and uncomfortable.

On the coldest of mornings i might wake up & then pull the sheet over my head for a quick few winks

There is no way that I can sleep totally under the covers ... have to have my head out .
Maybe I'm afraid that I'll fart and the fumes will kill me if I'm totally under the covers ...

I need at least my nose exposed but I often pull sheets over my head.

otherwise the air gets a bit stuffy.

But yes, I can sleep almost totally covered up.

When I was a kid, I used to try sleeping with my head under the covers because I was always afraid of some monster coming out to murder me, but I was never able to fall asleep that way. I always had to have a slight opening, at least around my mouth somewhere in order to get fresh, cool air.

With your head completely under the covers, you're basically just breathing in hot, stale air. Can't you run out of oxygen that way? LoL You're really just breathing in more oxygen than there is flowing underneath the blanket, and thus you could probably suffocate, I'm sure.

same here.....100%

Sometimes when the boogy man is after me, I sleep with my head under the covers.
