mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm

One of our favourite holidays...always with a big banquet. I can smell the delicious food already.

I'm assuming that the OP will be ordering in Sum Yung Guy to eat?

You really suck at me as a subject

It's simply that, being one month and half behind my projected schedule, I changed New Year's Eve for Chinese New Year

There's nothing 'simply' about it.

?????????????????????????

This is about as maladroit as the thread title 'How Will be 2015'. One assumes you were posting drunk.

No, just my usual me  and you know it

I just prepared my first batch of Chinese New Year goodies - got to try to get back into the hang of it since I prepare it only once a year. They turned out fine and were much appreciated by my guinea pigs/test subjects.

I am now eyeing fresh pineapples. If the right type comes along at the right price, it would be time for me to start cooking pineapple jam for pineapple tarts.

I remember a stew with pineapple that I took as my lunch (innocent me) before the afternoon classes while at Beijing: best laxative I ever knew, and made me spend the last twenty minutes of the last class in the corridor trying to hold it up until the damn class was officially over

It may have looked like pineapple, tasted like pineapple but who really knows, it is China - if they can make fake eggs, pass off rat meat as barbecued mutton, who knows what else they can do! :D

It smelled and tasted like pineapple  And it's not like the Chinese would be alone today in that respect: if the American could pass off TV dinner for food, anything can be considered a meal and you don't know what you are eating anymore... that, provided you could ever tasted both and would easily tell healthy mutton from healthy rat meat

My Dad started listening to classic Chinese New Year songs alongside Christmas ones about a month ago. So yes, the spirit is already there! I can smell, it's getting stronger!!!
