It's been a problem all my life, if i could make it go away dont you think i would a long time ago?
I dont need to be constantly reminded about it, its depressing enough.

I am pretty useless at telling people's ages on here and just assume everyone is the same age as me unless they state they are older or younger. I think I have most people's ages down on here because nearly everyone makes a reference to their age at some point. Saying that, despite being regular posters I have missed all references to unloadonme and medic1 ages and I am completely clueless to their ages! I will just go on assuming they have just turned 24 like me...

Thanks Johnny, alas i am a lot older than 24, i spent a number of years in the RAF, before entering uni to read medicine, which was another six years, including one year post-registration as a junior house officer. You are now officially on my Christmas card list.....

Perhaps I shouldn't have been regularly posting my real age; perhaps then I would have been considered in the 24yr old range.

Do you have the feedback issue? Where you notice you've mixed up letters, and it makes you mad, and getting mad makes it worse?

When people on here laugh at it, it can make me vent.
If i take, time to go back, do a sentence checker, i can spell it out better.
But it takes a long time to adjust it.
My mixer up words, i also have a "aspergers" the mild form of Autism.
Not many people in reality notice i have it, it doesnt show.
And i can do day to day things, but my grammer lacks slightly.

Indeed. but. take into account, that one thing are the data, and another the information and evaluation you derive from them, so that from the same data you can get one relatively accurate picture of that "mental state", and another totally divergent picture, simply because of the narrow understanding you apply to those posting patterns.

Maybe it is merely a side-effect of this strange, unreal, web-based way, of 'communicating', but the vast majority of people here on JUB tend come across to me as being about 16 ... or under.
Even some of those I have 'interacted' with for the past 10 years or so still seem to be 'children' ... and when I occasionally encounter one of my own old posts ...

I have my suspicions about someone - and I'm NOT talking about Benderboy/Cormac135 (for once)

Someone else is on here claiming to be young, and there have just been two or three little things, over the months, that don't quite fit and seem to suggest a man a lot older - but it is NOT proof, and I freely admit I may be barking up the wrong tree on this one.

But the fact that it yet again seems to be swirling around the Show Yourself Off forum is highly telling. I don't know - I may be completely wrong on this. It is only a vague suspicion, really. And it is not proof of anything.

But I have long 'campaigned' against the POSSIBLE dangers of predators and groomers who may be targetting newbies around these boards while faking pictures and pretending to be 18-25, when they are, say, in their 40s/50s/60s.

What I remain deeply disheartened and saddened about is the instilled fear the moderators have engendered around here about ever daring to mention the subject.

I will leave it at that.
