Canada Wildfires [MERGED]

Some of you have probably have seen on the news or in your neighborhood that the air quality is unhealthy cause of the wildfires happening in Canada. Where I live I've seen in the sky very hazy and in the mornings it's very bright orange from the wildfires that are happening over in Canada it's been like this since Tuesday. But after later in the day it kinda clears up but you can still smell it in the air of fire burning. Hopefully it won't last too long cause you can't even smell good fresh air.

My sincere sympathies to those in the path of the smoke.

I remember the fires in New Mexico and Alaska. As the smoke lingered, it kind of depresses folks in a gloom.

I haven't seen anything about eye protection.

Doesn't all that smoke irritate your eyes?

Just a little smoke from a campfire burns like hell.

Yes that sums it up. It was like a weird night vision Camera thing for a few hours. At the peak of it yesterday my eyes were watering a bit.

This morning is just a fraction of yesterday's haze and you can barely smell any fire.

It is definitely mildly irritating and I have been using saline eyedrops over the past few days because of the time I am having to spend outdoors.

Come on guys, if you don’t get your act together we’re going to send Trump up to rake your forests.

I had to travel for work today to Akron Ohio, crossing the Cuyahoga Valley. You can usually see the Cleveland skyline from the bridge. Today you couldn’t even see the other side of the valley because of how heavy the smoke is.

I hope we don't get that orange glow again. Last time I thought Trump farted.

Koff, koff.

We hear you.

And of course, as Canadians, we are sorry.

The air here today is acrid as well and I think is contributing to cooler temps and now more precip.

I have had to wear a beaver mask over my face all day in order to breathe.

^ The setting sun is brilliant red from where I sit. I'm talking our flag red.

Might as well hang a couple of hams and some kippers out on the back porch and take advantage. It's going to be a long season.

Little bit of haze and fire smell this afternoon. But nothing like the last time

I know that many JUBbers have pets with a few years on them.

This is a light/easy read article about how this smoke can affect pets and wildlife:

I'm not a big fan of Time, but with a couple of good links embedded in this article, it may be of interest or a starting point.

From where I live you can smell it in the air a little bit but it wasn't like it was before when it started here and smelled bad

Central Indiana here. Been smokey for a week now. Annoying.

Blame Canada!
