Candle In The Wind...

When did it become fashionable to be overtly and unashamedly vulgar?

I'm not referring to the posts, but what does it say about someone if they display something like that in their home.

Responses:

OPTION 1.-You're so anti-American.

OPTION 2.-It has been going on for ages, centuries, millennia...

OPTION 3.-"Overtly and unashamedly vulgar" is the commonnest collocation of "fashion" and "decoration".

I suspect "A Candle in the End" might be the more likely sales pitch.

But agree with Pigface that you really have to have a very aligned social circle for this to be an acceptable decor item.

Also, I have to believe most men don't like the image of anything on fire near a penis. And, once it is burned only a few minutes, it makes a deformed image. Also painful to see.

huh - some puritanical points of view here - there are candles in lots of various shapes
animals, flowers, fruit, angels...
don`t hurt to see them burn down
remember these candles are fun items and not to be taken too seriously

and well, I wouldn´t put one on the mantelpiece when grandma comes around unless she`s a real bitch

This rendering, plus the spell behind it, make it look Wiccan, which isn't an amusement toy, but a talisman or similar. Several of the figural pieces appear to be likely more aids for spells.
