The transition between dating your right hand to dating a real-flesh-and-blood guy takes a while. That's why we get a lot of "I'm hard but I can't come!" and "I put it in and it goes soft!" threads here.

We put a lot of pressure on ourselves because we have this idea that sex is supposed to just happen- like breathing. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that was your problem. For everyone who posts in the forums, there's probably another 20 guys that read them, so I try to answer in a way that might help others with the same problem.

Usually it's a Goldilocks thing- either it's too hard/too soft or can't come/come too quickly.

And it seems to be more common in the 16-21 age group with the first few serious relationships. There seems to be a connection with the first few times you're with someone new- especially on the "can't come" side.

Most of the time, it gets better as you gain more experience and you are more relaxed about sex and have less fear that it will happen again.
