Who's going to have their recorders set for the reboot of the "Battlestar Galactica" with "Capria" tonight!

Me ... me... me

With a kick-ass gay character as well. It's about time sci-fi recognized that we are part of the future as well.

Another prequel?

"Sci-fi" realized that a long time ago. MGM must have a pile of novel-derived screenplays 10 metres high.

I thought Caprica already came out...at least on DVD. Am I wrong?

I've seen the pilot for Caprica on hulu and didn't notice a gay character kick ass or otherwise. Who is it?

The assasin/brother of the lawyer.
(aka: the dude with all the tattoos on his torso).

Saw it and thought it was pretty good. I loved Battlestar so I will definitely watch this series too.

Not me. I decided to boycott a long time ago when Syfy kept jerking their fans around and stringing out the last season of BSG over 18 months or whatever. I don't want to be screwed over like that again. Better to just stay out of it for me.

Ok first off this is not a reboot, it is a prequel as the series will show events that occured prior to BSG. I've already seen the pilot and I thought it was pretty damned good. I have pretty high expectations for this one and if BSG was any indication I think we'll have a winner here.

Here's hoping that the sci-fi network in Australia fast track it like that did with the final season of BSG.

From the little I've seen of Caprica, it looks pretty good.

I set my DVR to record it, but my box seems to have gone bonkers. Hmph. Sad face.

It's 11 here and i think it aired at 9. i don't get SciFi channel (i refuse to call it SyFy) so i'll have to wait and see if they post it on there web site. The pilot was ok.

I watched it tonight. I thought it was a little boring. Maybe it will get better.

I had it taped tonight and will watch it sometime this weekend, but from what I've heard though substantially different from BSG,it will have plenty of the thoughtful social allegory and character interactions that raised BSG to such an outstanding level.Look forward to it.

I used to watch the original BSG all the time and quite enjoyed it. However, when they took Starbuck and made him a woman in the redo, and then took his mild 'oath' and turned it into a substitute for 'fuck' and stuck it in everywhere they could by everyone they could just because they could, well. . .

I didn't watch the new BSG.

The promos for Caprica have characters saying, "Are you out of your frackin' mind?" I won't be watching Caprica, either.
