About 6 months ago, a grey cat showed up at our front porch. We started feeding her and she kept coming back. Eventually, she just stayed. We built a house for her to live in. Thought she was just a stray.

She stayed with us for about 2 months. And then one day she just disappeared. Nothing. We were both sad. Thought she got ran over by a car or something.

This morning we were sitting out on the front porch drinking coffee. A lady walked by with her kid, dog, and something in her arms. The cat jumped off her arms and ran to us. OMG it's her!

We talked to the lady. Apparently, it's her cat. She told us she regularly let her cat out. But a few months ago she disappeared for a month. So when she came back she just kept her inside.

LOL we looked at each other and silently decided not to tell her ya she was with us that whole time.

Bf and I are so relieved she's ok. We inadvertently temporarily adopted someone else's cat haha.

We had a cat when I was growing up that kind of lived in all our neighbours' houses but also ours (primarily)

and he was killed on the highway whilst philandering, the entire neighbourhood was in mourning.

So many people refer to their cats being "members of the family."

Yeah, H.L. Hunt's family.

Yesterday I was doing some yard work. The cat came back. This time with a brand new very shiny pink collar. While petting her I noticed there's a little GPS tracker attached to her collar LOL.

Cat’s require many servants! It sounds like this cat made a fantastic choice having you as an ancillary as you made him a little house.
