Catholics upset over 'Eat Pray Love'

Neither the book, nor the film pique my interest though that review quoted in the OP will only serve to bring more attention to the film - better to have let it fizzle.

When will they learn?

Please don't bash Catholic Church too much, I'm still a member. Also, these may be this "Catholic" group that made a fuss about the colors of Mother Teresa not being displayed on the Empire State building. The group I'm talking about is not even attached to the vatican. And also, the main reason I still am Catholic is because we are taught that the Bible is to be interpreted symbolically, not literally.

We are not bashing you. We're discussing this guy who feels that a movie which takes place in Rome must involve the church and religion. That's like saying that a movie taking place in New York City must include climbing the outside of the Empire State Building and getting shot down by planes.

Religion isn't the be-all-and-end-all of the world, and for it to bash a movie simply because it doesn't involve religion is ludicrous.

Yeah. How dare someone participate in a religion or be inter religious. Its disgusting (not really)
I hate these organizations that bash things just to do so.
