Not enough choices for me to cast a vote; though I would have given this poll a title: :"Which of the following Democrats had the most influence in the Democratic wins in 2006"

I think you might be rushing to conclusions too quickly on your opinion of Webb and any impact or future influence he may have

I cast my vote for Michael J. Fox.

Primarily because his involvement in the political process finally brought the debate about stem cell research into the public limelight. The American people finally got a better understanding about what stem cells are, the differences between the various types of stem cells, and allowed everyone to make an "educated" opinion how that type of research should be legislated/funded.

He put his money, his mouth, and his reputation on the line for something that he believes in.

Pelosi without a doubt

From your list I'd choose Pelosi.

But the criticism that your list is too short is valid.

Maybe should do a thread, first, of posting potential nominees.

I think Murtha belongs on the list because I believe if he hadn't put his creds behind the idea of pulling out of Iraq, and stuck to it, the broad opinion of the American people wouldn't have shifted as it did. Murtha gave the idea validity because, for whatever reason, BushRepublicans were unable to swiftboat him.

John Dean's "All 50 States" strategy turned out to be a winner, rather than the terrible mistake Mr. Emmanuel dreaded.

Because of it we took Republican seats no one expected us to take, in places like Indiana and Nebraska.

You mean "American of the year 2006", Alfie. Sorry, I don´t want to be your teacher...Person of the year: Maybe President Chavez from Venezuela, Prime Minister Olmert from Israel or Fidel (80.birthday - and he will die soon), don´t know.

Rahm Emmanuel

he made it happen

with a nod to Charles Schumer

Rahm Emmanuel for the House,Chuck Schumer for the Senate. If it weren't for the masterful job of Schumer in focusing on the most contested races in the Senate, the takeover of the Senate may not have happened.Schumer has become a very good tactician and leader in the Senate, overcoming his earlier(and pretty deserved at the point)reputation of being overly ambitious, partisan and publicity seeking. He has truly grown on the job.

Chuck Schumer

The House was going Dem - period.

The Senate was the major upset

Schumer is saying less publicly and doing more. He started trying to be "more" than Hillary. Instead he's just outproducing her.

He was on CNBC (Donny Deutsch) last week - horrible show - not sure why he went on - but he was great - the Dems could use more like him. Proof again u can be liberal and reasonable.

i just had a stroke

james

1.Howard Dean for political arena
2.General Alfie for JUB-CE&P forum posting/s
3.Keith Olbermann for mainstream media picking up a fight with Fox news bully
4.Michael J Fox for activism
5.The rest of JUB members who stood up and fight with the bullying tactics and mass disseminations of false informations prior to lead up of midterm elections by the right and their homocons avid fanatics.
