I love Celine Dion, she is my favourite singer, and she has a great personality. One of her biggest qualities is her openness to her fans.

Unfortunately I didn't see the Oprah show (I'm in Europe), but I can imagine how she conveyed her emotion.

I have heard a few tracks from the new album and while I wasn't too impressed with them on first listen (maybe that was partly cos they were recording sessions from YouTube), I think when I buy the CD I'll be loving them. The video for the new single is great and made me like the new single even though I had decided previously that I didn't like it lol. I agree with the comments on how she looks on the cover - way too Photoshopped for my liking, but a very striking picture none the less. It will be interesting to see the booklet.

Oh man I lost it when they showed the part about her father! God it was special. I dont care if anyone doesn't like her voice, but there's not way to watch her and not be moved by her warmth. She's got such an incredible personality, not one bit stuck up. I love her so much and her new album is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!

Saw her in concert in Las Vegas a couple years ago...absolutely AWESOME!! She is indeed very genuine...can't wait to buy her new music!

I had put this on another baord,I almost lost it to,when the girl in the adience meber whos fater died and Because You Loved Me was her and her dads song so Celion sang it. my heart Will Go On great song Celion is 100% real I would like to meet her to.

Celine Dion Live

Got my ticket to catch Celine Dion's concert this Sunday. Getting excited and cant wait for Sunday. I have seen 2 of her concerts on DVD. I hope it will be as good as her Vegas show.

Definitely post a review! I've seen Celine 11 times in Vegas and I am seeing her twice this year on her Taking Chances tour! I'm sooooooooooo excited! Make sure to tell us how it was! Her voice is in amazing shape this tour! I can't wait for the DVD to come out!

Just got home from a memorable evening with Celine Dion. She looked tired but the power of her voice is just unbelievable. She makes singing look so easy.

She must be taking care of it because she performed live for something like 6 shows a week for 5 years in Las Vegas and she still has it.

Celine has gone to great lenghts to protect her voice. To point where every room in her house is at the perfect temp for singing (I think like 68 degrees or something) and each room has it's own humidifier!

Funny, how is Mariah brough up in a Celine topic having NOTHING to do with Mariah? And I'm sure if Mariah had surgery on her voice, she'd still sound like that too. I used to love Celine, but she doesn't sound the same since she had her surgery.

Celine has put on some weight and looks much better. She apologized for resheduling the concert from 8 to 13 April do to health reasons. She looked tired but still managed to give a powerful performance. Wonder where she stores her powerful voice. All in, an enjoyble and memorable evening.

He violinist/guitarist is hot and looks like Prince Harry. Wish he had exposed more of himself. The other male dancers were hot too...

What's this about Celine having surgery on her voice? I'm a massive Celine fan and try to keep up with everything about her (not that I'm obsessed....honestly! lol) but this is the first I've heard of this.

Are you talking about when she had nodules removed from her vocal cords quite a few years ago? In which case, this was really not surgery on her voice - certainly not "voice improvement" surgery like it seems is being suggested.

It wasn't meant as a diss to Celine by any means, its just since she had the nodules removed, her voice doesn't sound the same to me.
But Mariah's got nodules as well, she told some magazine this year, which is a reason her voice has deteriorated so much. So its funny people diss Mariah for not sounding good anymore, but Celine did surgery to correct hers (thats not a bad thing, just sayin) whereas you have to be willing to take the risk of never singing again by having this procedure done. She obviously hasn't been willing. But for people to diss Mariah's voice in here and praise Celine is bogus to me. One had surgery, the other hasn't yet. Its a huge risk. Celine was lucky.

Yeah, that's a fair point MC.

I'm not a fan of Mariah (some songs are ok) but that is just because I don't like her voice or material. I totally agree that she can sing well and has a good range (she can hit some very high notes!), but she just doesn't do it for me.

Personally I think Celine and Mariah are like Pepsi and Coca-Cola....people don't usually like both of them or at least not to the same degree.

I think the reason for this is that she protects her voice so much now--almost to a fault. She lost all of her raw emotional edge. Can't say I blame her, but unfortunately I don't like her new stuff because of this.
