"The Reason", and there's a reason for that. After a difficult patch in our relationship, my partner had confessed to an affair that he claimed he had recently ended. We went to Paris, a city that had been the scene of much happiness for us in the past. We were there to try and talk things out. On the last day of our stay we had talked ourselves round in circles and agreed to try a separation when we got home. I had bought the"Lets Talk About Love" CD because the title of the album seemed ironic. To drown the silence in the car on the drive home I put the CD on and sat fighting back the tears as Ms Dion turned the screw with the lyrics to "The Reason". After the track finished my bloke said "Play that again, it's what I wanted to say all weekend" We didn't separate, and I only have to think about that song to get a bit weepy.

With her twin sons less than four months old, Celine Dion could be expected to be relaxing at home enjoying her maternity leave. But the mother-of-three got back to work today as she arrived in Las Vegas to begin rehearsals for her high-profile three-year residency at Caesars Palace. Joining her was her family, with the singer and husband and manager Rene Angelil showing off bouncing babies Eddy and Nelson as they received a gala welcome. The boys, wearing matching blue baby grows and white hats, were cradled in their parents arms as they posed on the steps of the casino. Their big brother, nine-year-old Rene Charles, was also with his family. French-Canadian star Celine will now begin rehearsals for her new show, set to debut on March 15 at The Colosseum. But despite her busy work schedule, Celine is not planning on taking a back seat in raising her sons. ‘I am changing diapers and breastfeeding and that’s something where no one can take my place,’ she told French GALA magazine last month. ‘It’s tiring but an intense joy,’ she said. ‘I take things day by day. That’s the secret to me. In any case, breastfeeding is more difficult if you are stressed. I didn’t have these children to not take care of them, to give myself to them 200 – 300 per cent.’

I like Celine, but it seems that her voice is not as powerful as it was before her surgery. Maybe I just have not seen the right videos.

Celine never had surgery on her voice. She had vocal nodules way back in the late 80's very early 90's before she really even hit it big, but chose to not speak for an extended period of time to get rid of them. You're thinking of someone else.

And that performance of Seduces Me is awful vocally, I can barely listen to it. She's done much better. She had some trouble with her voice during the first Vegas stint from overuse and got really nasal sounding. She sounds amazing these days. She just had a performance Thursday with Andrea Bocelli that should be evidence her voice is still powerful and amazing.

I knew that she chose not to speak for a while to heal her voice. However, I thought I had read somewhere that she had surgery as well. Anyway, I listened to some of the tracks on Taking Chances and her voice seemed to have diminished. It could have been the production.

So Celine, once again I wish you a very happy birthday! Hope you have an amazing day with your 3 sons and your hubby. I saw you live on your Vegas show back in 2006 and I hope to catch you live again soon if I ever go down to the US again. :kiss:
