I have the Chaka Khan album. Yes, I said album... I'm dating myself and I don't care. Not only is the Bebop Medley good, that's the record with her version of Got To Be There, Twisted and a pungent take on infidelity called (I think) It's All The Same Love.
Great memories!

It's an expression. When urban music fans view a remarkable performance they may express a desire to "Slap" the performer or "Throw my shoe at him/her/them."

Finally a thread on Ms. Fire!! Chaka is one of the realest singers and people in the business!! She is also on my forever top ten favorite singers list! Oh and Chaka like Aretha is a mezzo soprano.
