It could be worse. At least for the last fleeting seconds of his life he leaned a little to the left.

^This reminds me of the inherent contradiction that comes up when one discusses religion: You MUST love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind; and you MUST do it willingly!

Well maybe Robinson was more of a Luigi than we thought...anyhow, they are going to try out aggravated murder and the death penalty, based on the evidence entered
today.

An editorial from Karl Rove, of all people:
[T]here has been a disturbing and growing undercurrent in our national conversation and on the internet, a pronounced emphasis on "they" and "them,". Charlie would be alive but for "them." "They" killed him. "They" are responsible for his death. "They" must be made to pay.

Our culture is built on the principle that individuals are responsible for what they say and do. People can be influenced by words they hear and groups they’re part of. But we aren’t helpless automatons whose actions are dictated by others.

Using Charlie’s murder to justify retaliation against political rivals is wrong and dangerous. It will further divide and embitter our country. No good thing will come of it.

It is also an insult to his memory.

In other words Charlie was a reprobate, although if anyone here believes he has a redeeming quality I’m all ears.
I'd class him with PT Barnum, only with a different circus and a different group of clowns.

ABC has suspended The Jimmy Kimmel Show after the White House went apeshit crazy at being mocked for Trump's callous conversation pivot to his golden ballroom as he was discussing Kirk's death.

Brendan Carr, the FFC Chairman, then threatened ABC's broadcast license unless they either pulled Kimmel's show, or if Kimmel were to publicly apologize AND make a donation to Kirk's Turning Point organization.

ABC and the show's producers immediately capitulated and suspended Kimmel and the show, and are airing a Kirk tribute in its spot Friday night.

I'm no fan of network programming, but it's time for protests and/or riots. It's time. Speak. Strike. Redress.

There's protests going on in Burbank and on Hollywood Boulevard. Local media is covering the protests, which were small this morning and have been growing throughout the day.

Jon Stewart has announced that he will be on air tonight on The Daily Show. He's probably not doing a Thursday appearance to discuss the UK trade deal. ;)

I'm not sure where the unions are. I'm also not sure why the Democrats aren't calling for the head of the FCC Chair on a silver platter.

They could call for the head of the FCC all they want. But he is the guy put in charge for exactly this reason. He's the guy who wrote the Prokect 2025 section for the FCC.

I will, just so I'll get on the list of citizens they track down and get fired, but I stopped watching ABC and blocked the channel when I decided that the "big 3" were just a pony show of distraction.

He was and he did.

But I am so tired of Democratic members of Congress standing in front of a microphone talking about sending strongly worded letters and threatening to ask "tough questions" in hearings.

These guys in the Trump Administration are incompetent, weak pussies. They are afraid of their own shadow. They are doing what every bully does- avoiding the crowd and going after the weakest kid on the playground to make it look like they're a big tough guy. The conduct that we're seeing in hearings the past few weeks makes it clear that these guys don't know jackshit about their jobs or their departments. They feel like it's okay to shout and insult the body that funds their salary because they're not afraid of the consequences. Politics is a game of rewards and consequences.

John McCain and Ted Kennedy and Harry Reid didn't send strongly worded letters. They screamed and shouted and called reporters to make it clear that there will be consequences. If Kash Patel would have acted like this in a hearing with John McCain, he would be gone by the end of the week.
