  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Chat live with a Mormon.

lol i asked about the churches views on homosexuals and he said its against the commandments...god wants us to be wed man and woman.....i said....im not talking about marriage im talking about sex....waiting for a response now lol

HA!! Here's a hoot!

"We believe that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God. We believe that marriage may be eternal through exercise of the power of the everlasting priesthood in the house of the Lord.

"People inquire about our position on those who consider themselves so-called gays and lesbians. My response is that we love them as sons and daughters of God. They may have certain inclinations which are powerful and which may be difficult to control. Most people have inclinations of one kind or another at various times. If they do not act upon these inclinations, then they can go forward as do all other members of the Church. If they violate the law of chastity and the moral standards of the Church, then they are subject to the discipline of the Church, just as others are.

"We want to help these people, to strengthen them, to assist them with their problems and to help them with their difficulties. But we cannot stand idle if they indulge in immoral activity, if they try to uphold and defend and live in a so-called same-sex marriage situation. To permit such would be to make light of the very serious and sacred foundation of God-sanctioned marriage and its very purpose, the rearing of families" (Ensign, Nov. 1998, 71).

LMFAO!!!!!!!! Seriously, I'm laughing so hard right now. Their words are comedy gold!!!

PUBLIC AFFAIRS: If somebody has a very powerful heterosexual drive, there is the opportunity for marriage. If a young man thinks he’s gay, what we’re really saying to him is that there is simply no other way to go but to be celibate for the rest of his life if he doesn’t feel any attraction to women?

ELDER OAKS: That is exactly the same thing we say to the many members who don’t have the opportunity to marry. We expect celibacy of any person that is not married.

I think South Park did the history of early mormonism very well.

You should call up the shit about how God was in touch with the peoples of ancient America.

Joseph Smith, the founder is nothing but a lying skank.

They actually said that its not a sin to THINK about it....its just a sin to do it....and i asked "John" what he felt was worse and he said Homosexual Marriage was worse than divorce....

I said....so the church would rather me break a holy vow that I made before God for all eternity than to want to enter into it?

Oh my, this is quite entertaining. I love messing with the mormons when they come knocking on my door. I once had a friend pretend like he was waiting for me to come back to bed by yelling out some...er...less than appropriate things by their standards.

Perhaps I'll head on over and chat a bit. Could be worth a few laughs.

Seriously, you can chat with Mormon missionaries live.

I'm presently just talking with "Melanie" who's explaining to me that they didn't take away any of our rights and that my marriage hurts her because marriage is sacred.

So I can psychologically scar a poor, unsuspecting and misguided individual for life while making them cry at the same time?  (*@*)

I'm going to recite a monologue I've had to do for acting class.... :D

thank you so much for the link! this is going to be very entertaining!

It already is entertaining! I'm having a blast laughing at their statements just by reading the transcriptions here.

I talked to the dude, he couldn't tell me where the fuck Mormons pulled this new testament from, and then i accidentally closed the chat.

That's something that I wanted to ask myself...if JUBbers that are chatting there are actually making a decent conversation or just playing around? 'Cause going there and just play around would only instigate needless shit...wich we don't need right now.
But apparently people are in fact interested in engaging in a decent conversation, wich is good and actually productive.

Sorry, but when you consider me to be sub-human and not deserving of rights, you've sacrificed your right to my respect. If they have a problem with it, maybe they can work up the guts to come here and talk to me about it.

OH NO!!! You wouldn't want them to catch AIDS!!!

I admire and respect the people who've posted to this thread for not blatantly trolling the Mormons they're chatting with and being respectful. Just because they have a different belief system than us doesn't mean we get to disrespect them.

And I know people are going to disagree with me because Mormons donated so much to the pro-Prop 8 side, but even though they donated millions to the cause, at the end of the day they're still people too. They don't deserve to be disrespected just because of their religious leanings. 99% of the Mormons on that chat probably didn't even vote on Prop 8, or any of the propositions that banned gay marriage.

TL;DR: Mormons are people too and most of the Mormons in the chats probably aren't even from the states that voted against gay marriage.

P.S: Also, for the people who are going out of their way to be disrespectful to the Mormons in those chats, I hope there are people other than me who are disappointed in you.

Having been raised a mormon, I think you can safely disrespect them at will. They are collectively rabid in their hatred of homosexuality, no matter how often they lie and tell you they love everyone. Mormons are programmed to believe a corrupted dogma and spread it all over the planet. I would love to see their tax-exempt status revoked somehow. (just some random thoughts that have come pouring out of :wave:my head...)

i can't be mean, they are nice people, just mislead a bit. I was just chatting with a missionary, and he was really sweet.

I wonder if I should tell them about my friend who seduced one of the Mormon Missionries and made him say "oh god" in a different context?

Bad analogy..lol

Your not likely to see a Mormon with a Crucifix..

They consider it kind of offensive to display.

As a Mormon freind explained to me,it would be like the mother of a kid shot to death wearing a gun around her neck.

They supposedly prefer to focus on the life of Jesus, and not his death.

Lol! Sorry.

Well, at least that's a good thing...I guess.
