Recently, I had a full computer crash and I lost all my programmes. Meahwhile, I've been able to re-install almost all programmes I'd lost.


Now, I'm looking for a chemwindows version that can be downloaded for free. I couldn't find one via google.


Maybe some JUB members know a free source for a download. The newest version is chemwindows 6.0 (I believe), but older versions are welcomed as well.

very rarely...but sometimes i google something and don't get what i'm looking for, then google the exact same thing like a day or so later and i find it. don't know why...but there ya have it. lol

there is another program like this that i use called chemsketch 8...it is totally free and very nice, just do a search for it and you will get a download link. you can draw, rotate, and it has tons of built in templates. i used it alot in college and the structures can be easily copied and pasted into a word document or another image editor.

I've already tried several drawing programmes for chemistry purposes but chemwindows is the most easygoing one for me. I've used c-design but this is more complicated although it's got some advantages chemwindows doesn't have.

Don't forget to copy the serial number from the SERIAL file; you'll need it during installation.

My uni had a ChemOffice subscription so I still have that on my computer, not sure if it still works though. Now at the multinational I work at we only have ISIS/draw and I don't like it at all
