Now Jack,Jack,Jack...............

You know polls lie and are slanted don't you ?

polize not 'Dickweed Cheeny' ? mosta been a FOX doing.

Get your facts from someplace/someone reliable like from Cobert at least !! :)

Poor Harry does not get the support from the Mormon hating right wing Christians, but the bloody handed Cheyney is much beloved by the "good Christian folk".

Here is the 80 rule chance forgot. Excuses, excuses, excuses..... Let 'em rip, lets hear how Harry doesn't know any better from his tree huggin, commie luvin, pinko, free lovin, beastiality havin, drug smokin, welfare gettin, left wing peace mongers. Go on girl......

Harry is sleeping in the bed that HE made - a couple of his famous remarks - to review and comment on - how long has he been senate leader?

1 - Called GWB a "loser" in front of Junior HS kids - in his defense, he apologized afterward

2 - He claimed the war in Iraq is lost - even if u believe it, is this a good tactical move? His colleagues went on air and tried to manage "what he really meant"

3 - Attacked Alan Greenspan, then chairman of the Fed Res Board, calling him one of the biggest political hacks in Washington

4 - Publicly claimed that General Petraeus was out of touch with what was going on in Iraq

This is the Senate LEADER

not much leadership being shown

less popular than Dick Cheney?

you'd think he could at least win that comparison

who can we compare him to next so that maybe he can win

the good news for Harry is that there is tremendous room for improvement

The old saying - "you can't fall off the floor"

Harry Reid does sorta look like he's been shot in the face, dontchathink? Or maybe Nancy Botox Pelosi just sat on it.
Either way, Cheney's clear.

There is something timeless about Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid with the caption "America can do better.....Honest"

Not to mention it is their own doing not some trumped up Alfie-ism.

everyone knows how, well, "partisan" Rasmussen is -- that's why I never cite his shady outfit.

So G.A.,,you are saying Rasmussen doesn't fit your 'mold' but CBS does?

We really don't need to bring up CBS & Dan Rather . do we ?

Most people don't even know who Harry Reid is, so these polls don't mean anything. Even the author of this thread is mistaken in his calling him the "Pluarlity Leader" when Reid is the Majority Leader--the Democrats have a majority in the Senate, the last time I checked, not just a plurality.

Majorities are worth shit if the other party has the White House and the majority can't get enough support from independent thinking members across the aisle.Harry Reid has his majority.....but it means squat. And he looks like a dithering amateur. What winners we have in both parties.

No. a majority of 100 is 51. The dems have a plurality.

so ur saying if they knew him he'd be popular?

what's the basis for that?

bottom line is he's not doing a very good job - and the people polled agree - overwhelmingly

I have been watching Criss Angel "Mindfreak" on A&E.What he does is just so fucking amazing.

If the Dems w/ Reps support could pull off just one illusion of something being done.......shit even if it is Smoke & Mirrors.

Yeah, I think that's called the immigration bill.

I'm not impressed with Harry Reid at all. According the poll that jackaroe shared here, Reid has the same approval rating as Scooter Libby.

He earned it!

"Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them. With [strike]Major Major[/strike] Harry Reid it had been all three" - Joseph Heller (author of Catch-22, Ch. 9).

I think what he's saying, Chance:luv2:, is that approval ratings for individual members of the House or Senate mean much less than they do for Pres. & V.P., or even Speaker, or Pres. of the Senate. This is because people in, say, Montana, typically only are (sometimes vaguely) familiar with their own Representatives & Senators and their records. Those Montana folks are pretty good at judging the politicos from their home turf, but ignorant to (no offense intended) the job performance of Senators & Representatives from, say, Florida. A national poll on ANY member of Congress (exceptions listed above) is going to be all-over the board over any length of time. In that, I include Majority/Minority leaders & party "whips." If you think about it, you can't help but see the logic of this.

Everybody try this:
Be honest. . . without looking it up, who's the Jr. Senator from Florida? The Senior Senator from Indiana? Who is Oregon's Third District Congressman? Are they doing a good job? Are they Republican or Democrat? Do they agree or disagree with you on your own "hot-button" issues? How long in office?

If you can answer the above questions without looking them up, you're a rare exception! Now, granted, people SHOULD know a bit more about Congressional leadership, however most know only whether they're Democrat or Republican, and they often answer polls accordingly.

You must hate America very, very much.

Again who was it that was saying that all they encountered from republicans or conservatives (I am sure that is the descriptive words you used) Who was it that said they only respond with insults? HMMM
