well i don't like any of Streisand's music, some of cher's and some more of madonna's. i guess i pick madonna.

Madonna = trashy.
Streisand = meh.
Cher = goddess.

So, I pick Cher. I don't know where you get that Cher "sold herself out" by not returning to dance music for her new album. If you even recall, she was not even determined to record "Believe" until her managers convinced her into doing it. So, she wasn't really set out on doing a dance album in the first place in 1998. Cher belongs in the pop/rock genre, which is where she will make her triumphant return.

Streisand could perform her music at twenty or sixty. She is timeless. Madonna just looks like an old woman trying to stay young. In a few years, no one will even remember her.

Given the ages of most Jubbers, I'm sure Madonna is the most popular of the three at JUB. I've liked many of her songs over the years, particularly the dance music.

I've liked almost everything Cher has ever done, but more so the earlier years than her more techno current ones. (Not that I dislike techno.)

Barbra is, of course, my idol. I've worshipped her since her first album came out in 1960. At 65 she can outsing any of the others in my opinion. Her music is, I'm sure, considered too old-fashioned by you younguns.

Now I like all 3. But everytime I see Streisand live, she's been flawless. I can't say the same for the other two. But I know more or Madonna's music. And of course what gay guy doesn't love Cher?

If I had to pick, I pick Streisand. Timeless vocals are what I'm all about.

^^"Streisand sucks live"? (DarkEmoBoi)

I've been to every one of her concerts over the years. No one I know ever left disappointed.

lol streisand seems to be the winner so far... i am missing a few albums on vinyl... i just got Guilty pleasures two months ago.... it was good but it was such a tacky attempt to relive Guilty... nonetheless it was good... no hits though.
"All The Children" is my favorite song on Guilty Pleasures. Love the beat and the chorous.

Streisand=makes me sick

Madonna=hypocrite too full of herself

Cher=the true icon

I never understood how cher is the true gay icon... wat just cuz she has a lesbian daughter? She never was a gay icon until then... i mean sure alot of gay guys liked her but its at that point when she was declared a gay icon... and madonna a gay icon at her 6th album... Erotica.. think about it... Madonna is more a gay icon.. she's a huge sex icon.. her SEX book had two guys getting eachother off and her rimming a guy... gay men like sex... its as simple as that.. she herself is bisexual.. cher is str8 all the way... i love her to death and was a cher fan way before a madonna fan... but i think Madonna deserves the rightful title as the Official gay icon.. she's a drama queen and a bitch. Drags and flammers love her.. its the cold-hearted truth.

Fine, fine.

But Madonna won't let her children even watch television.

Do you think she'll agree to letting her kids watch some future sex-goddess, whore-figure dancing and singing in some future video? Of course not! But she could do it to make her half billion dollars.....

Madonna will always be the one and ONLY in my book.

I don't care for Madonna's arrogance, her petulance or her inability to communicate to interviewers without coming across like a bitch. I do however love her music and will fight to the death in sticking up for her as a true cultural icon and musical goddess that she is.

Barbara Streisand has never really done anything for me but she has the kind of back catalogue that demands respect. To sing any of her songs you have to know how to sing and you have to know how to sing note for note perfectly. She does this but that's just about where the excitement ends with me.

Cher has some great songs spanning many decades but I don't really get why she is so popular amongst the gay community. Is it for the fact that she dresses and sounds like a dude in a dress? Gypsies tramps and thieves has got to be my favourite song of hers though.

Madonna has done more to shape the music industry and change opinions on women and their role in society than any other woman I can think of.

Cher, she can sort of-act, but sing... meh, I find her voice annoying. She wears too little clothes for her age (60?). I like the fact that even though she is not the most talented at either (singing or acting), she is still in the limelight and still successful. But I have never had the urge to buy any of her albums.

Streisand, too full of herself to be interesting to anyone but herself

Madonna, she still rules the music biz, and it is competing with Cher on the I will outlast every other performer, even though I don't have the 'big' voice. I like her music more, but what I really like about her is that she owns who she is and does not apologize. And people still want more, except movies, she should stop that!

So I vote Madonna, mostly because the face is still hers...

i don't like any of them.
the only think cool Madonna's ever done is perform with Gorillaz.
and Cher just scares the shit out of me.

i understand their contribution to popular music, i suppose i'll agree that they are talented, but i don't like them. at all.

Streisand is a living legend, one of the great voices of all time

Cher has been a pop star all her life and after her early days (with Sonny) has not done much worth listening to - some of it is embarrassing - granted Believe is a great song

Madonna has her moments and who couldn't like some of what she does, maybe a lot of it, but she is no Streisand

Streisand.

Love her or hate her, nobody else has had so much influence on the entertainment industry, in more areas of that industry.

Cher is Fab....can listen to all day!

Babs is Fabs.....Hellooooooooooo Dolly!

And Madonna....who cares anymore...Take a bow already....show is OVER!
