Congrats Chile - now it is your turn Venezuela..|

In other news, US Supreme Court poised to outlaw gay marriage (after they get around to outlawing birth control).

I am so afraid you could be right.

I don't think so---they are not outlawing abortion they are just making it up to 15 weeks unless rape or the health of the mother--which most of the world agrees is plenty of time to abort---the only 7 countries of the 59 who allow it--and who allow it after 20 weeks--are China Netherlands North Korea Singapore Vietnam CANADA and the USA!

^ No. They are working to overturn Roe v. Wade.

And the religious conservative judges are doing something even more insidious. They are looking to ignore or overturn legal precedent in court decisions. By doing this, they will open the door to all the states that want to overturn homo marriage.

Yes, that ominous threat is knocking loudly at our door.

I know the way you think this will go down but it won't happen--gay marriage is not as controversial to most conservatives or liberals as the killing of a viable fetus. If you know anything about this Supreme Court they are conservative but know if they become another partisan group of hacks they will destroy the institution ---and most of them except two of them are institutionalist .

So we have made it to 31. Another couple of decades, who knows...it might be 35.
