On Topic Discussion Chipotle has to ask customers to no bring guns into stores.

^You are talking about Dunblane. This was a huge, and i mean a huge wake-up call, not only for Scotland, but for the entire UK. You are correct, in that the government rushed through new legislation within weeks of this atrocity. Which banned the ownership of not only side-arms, but also rifles from the hands of the public. With a few exceptions, farmers is an example. Though the "private" ownership of hand-guns is illegal.

But the real question is why would you need a gun in a chipotle? It's an assembly line burro place....I can't see any reason to shoot up the place.

I guess if you think it's expensive you could order a freebie at gunpoint?

There are just so many people with an open carry fetish.

if you have a gun locked and secured in your private residence that's fine.

But self defense is fists not weapons. If that's the way you were meant to die, that's the way you were meant to die.

There is this uncle tom black guy on youtube who is around my age, and he's very pro open carry and when starbucks announced something identical to this that weapons are not allowed in their business, he got very heated about it saying that he is still going to carry his gun to study in starbucks.

smh. damn shame.

If seeing someone exercising a right bothers people, those people need some correction. Arguing that because some behavior might cause someone fear is ludicrous, unless you want to list almost anything at all, because fear is hardly limited to guns.

Do you put the same restriction on free speech, too -- recommend to people to suppress their thoughts lest it tromp on someone fear?

You are being willfully ignorant to what others are saying. Im done since it is clear you arent listening.

Any fucking moron who walks into a Chipotle carry a semi automatic rifle should be shot - in the nuts. Complete and utter morons. Hopefully this will be the first of many, many more businesses actually standing up to psychotics so enamored with a rifle that they think it trumps humanity.

Now, now, settle down, Butters.
Don't shoot a guy in the dick, Butters!:

Gun Owners of America is NOT simply a gun rights group......they are financial and philosophical supporters of the Aryan Nations, Christian Identity Movement, and Neo-Nazis.

Google Larry Pratt...........he was instrumental in the formation of of the Militia Movement. He formed the White Patriot Army. He was kicked off Pat Buchanon's presidential committee for being a racist. When Pat Buchanon thinks you're too racist...there's something going on. There are articles on this guy at Right Wing Watch as well as Th e Southern Poverty Law Center.

Gun Owners of America is a Homophobic, Racist, Anti-semetic organisation, Larry Pratt brags that his group is to the right of the NRA.

I'm curious.....when you join GOA, does membership come with a hood and schwasticka or do you have to provide your own.

How can any gay/bi person support these people?

I've always liked Donald Mallard's quote from an episode of NCIS :D

"Just because I have a drivers license doesn't mean that I show up at Indianapolis in my Morgan" :=D:

I'm sorry, but WHY do you need your rifle to sit down and eat again? Is a knife and fork not good enough to cut up your food, or can you not eat without the taste of bullet residue?

What a sick country. More Americans have been killed by guns in the states then soldiers in every war they have ever fought from teh Revolutionary war up to and including Afghan. Sick! In the late 90's there was a terrible shooting in a school in Scotland. Months after that all hand guns were banned for ever in the UK. Some may not know it but Andy Murray was one of the students in the school when it happened.

Well, in the US we've been buying more guns and seeing new owners, and violent crime is dropping.

An what no one wants to face is that deranged individuals who want to shoot others gravitate to places where guns are banned.

Wake-up call... right.

Someone shoots people in a place where guns are forbidden, so they make more territory where guns are forbidden. It's kind of like telling people that when they go outside poorly clothed in winter and end up with a fever, to fight the fever by going out in just a bathing suit.

So my life is worth less when I'm not at home -- thanks for your evaluation.

Self defense is whatever the person defending himself wants it to be. Any other position makes the people property of the government.

I'm responding to EXACTLY what they're saying.

If a restaurant can ban people with guns, then they can ban gay people, or fat people, or anyone else they please.

I thought you were in the military.

If so, this is in violation of your oath.

Why do you need shoes?

Or your cell phone?

It's not about "need", it's about freedom and choice. I have a gun, I have a cell phone, I have shoes, and it's my business where I take them -- no one else's.

Actually deranged people gravitate to the "Gun Owners of America", and other right wing racist organisations.

Chipotle gives me gas anyway.

Okay the rights thing is bullshit. One eccentric country makes a religion of being able to own glorified metal tubes that use exothermic reactions to propel globs of metal towards their neighbours who have supposedly transgressed, and that's not a right. It's a cult. It has rituals with mumbo-jumbo names (the "Open Carry" sectarians vs. the "Closed Carry" splittists). It has its priesthood in the form of the gun lobby, with their own dues-paying flock. It has its catechism, with the Holy Amendment being recited like any good piece of rote chanting from the flock in their pews. And it has no prospect of being an effective or humane way of making a society safe for its members. It is sustained only by fervour and specious claims. The charge that people who want gun restrictions are simply paranoid falls apart when you examine the paranoid reactions of those who feel the need to ready to shoot their neighbours. Disarmament is not something a government does to people, it is something people agree to do together to improve the safety of a community and of themselves. It bears repeating: it isn't just about the obvious fact that some "abstract community" is safer in a country with fewer guns, the safety of each real, living, breathing individual in that community is also greater when everyone disarms.

Guns are stupid.

You keep talking like that and some second amendment patriot will shoot you (probably in the back)

I don't know about you, but I don't need shoes OR a cellphone when I eat. I have a plate and hands.

Choice is choice - but common sense overrules your need to scream fire at everything.
