Sort of. Any private business can refuse to serve anyone they choose. Nothing wrong with that. However, they cannot discriminate people based on sex, race, religion, sex orientation, etc. Businesses can set "rules" which people must abide by. Up-scale restaurants can refuse to serve someone if they have a dress code. What about the "No shirt, no shoes, no service" signs?

What Conditions Allow a Restaurant to Refuse Service?

There a number of legitimate reasons for a restaurant to refuse service, some of which include:

* Patrons who are unreasonably rowdy or causing trouble
* Patrons that may overfill capacity if let in
* Patrons who come in just before closing time or when the kitchen is closed
* Patrons accompanied by large groups of non-customers looking to sit in
* Patrons lacking adequate hygiene (e.g. excess dirt, extreme body odor, etc.)

In most cases, refusal of service is warranted where a customer’s presence in the restaurant detracts from the safety, welfare, and well-being of other patrons and the restaurant itself.

Also, Disney World just made one of their restaurants into a kid-free area. They are not allowed inside the building.

He could have been "Unreasonably rowdy" :P

I wouldn't say it was because he was gay without knowing all the details. Maybe he posted a video that was extremely offensive, and youtube took it down right away? Nobody knows :)

Yep, I'm sure there's a part in their TOS that people agree to when signing up that they can ban your account for any and no reason at all. Most companies include that to cover themselves.
