the thread in the celebs forum is kind of the spot for oogling I like to call it. just eye candy. I don't usually get too involved with the discussions because they usually just say... He's Hot or he's icky or then why did you post here.

In this forum I am just one of those drive by comment makers when I think a guy is hot... not that interested in getting into an argument here on what is cute since we all have our tastes.

the H.T thread is about the content of a video and what he says. Taking the part about him being cute or not brings a different perspective and different answers.

Most of you here probably know that Chris Crocker, the F-List celebrity from his viral "Leave Britney Alone" rant, is going to be doing gay porn this summer & fall, directed by Chi Chi LaRue.

Did you know he's being paid $100,000 to just do 5 scenes and some "publicity" events -- like go on all expenses paid trips to meet "fans" at club appearances, and go on TV for interviews? Oh, and his personal training sessions are included too.

This is beyond insane that someone like Chris Crocker is being paid that amount.

Chris Crocker may now be one of popular guys in West Hollywood, but I for one, will NOT be watching ANY videos from Chris Crocker. I refuse to financially contribute in any way to support his grossly inflated paycheck.

(And I'm not even going to mention what I think about his voice or his drama queen attitude).

While I think the amount of money that someone is paid is really not my business-it's between the employer and employee, and there's really no point in judging someone else's salary like that--it is highly doubtful that Crocker is actually going to be paid that much.

There are no reputable sources that indicate Crocker has been offered $100,000. The article that you link to states clearly that the author thinks his source was lying. (Or smoking crack.)

There's really nothing to get worked up about.

Count me in as another person who isn't buying this. He's not that attractive or well known for any porn studio to invest this much money in. I believe he's going to be doing the porn but I don't believe he'd be paid that much.

Most porn companies are struggling..and can only put 1-5 films a year with xtube and amateur sites taking a big chunk of income along with torrent sites.
I can't imagine where any of them are going to pay him 100,000 anymore.

Chris Crocker has proven over and over again that he's capable of trumping the world's biggest PR and marketing firms, all by dashing together a few youtube videos. He's gone from being a tragic and annoying drama queen teenager (a totally made up persona, by the way) and reinvented himself as an edgy, mini-earded urban hottie.

And Chic Chi can see the value in a guy who is able to create that much buzz with a $0 advertising budget.

Are you serious? The only reason why Chris Crocker became famous was because he was so "over the top" and dramatic in that "Leave Britney alone" video. It went viral, because people wanted to make fun of him. You should have seen all of the homophobic comments people had left on his video -- "f*cking faggot" was one of the milder ones.

"Mini-bearded urban hottie"........you forgot the high-pitched voice and self-obsessed attitude.

But obviously you're going to praise him.............you probably want Chris Crocker to do some videos for Jake Cruise (bareback, obviously).

No, I'm not. I don't want to be in the porn business. If I did earn $100,000.........I would want to feel like I actually earned & deserved it.

But I think that he is being grossly overcompensated to extend his "15 minutes of fame."

Just because society chooses to compensate some people more than others does not mean they are not overcompensated. Major TV actors, movie stars, and professional athletes receive millions of dollars for their work. Those people are paid excessively as well.
