I never thought of Pratt as "fat." He was heavy, but hardly fat at 6'2" and 230. By that standard, all football players are "fat." Very few football players, short of quarterbacks, are "normal" weight.
Besides, these weight gains and losses are for movie roles, just as Christian Bale went down to an anorexic size for "The Machinist." It's part of their job, although I sure wouldn't advise the constantup/down weight gains and losses. Not good for the heart OR any of the body.
