Christianity and Sexuality - "Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin" ???

Because overly religious people are stupid, ignorant, naive, and gullible hypocrites. There is no validity in a religious argument whatsoever. Simple as that. This is why I decided to go Atheist.

Closed-mindedness seems to be a theme today. It's fine to discriminate, as long as you're the one doing the discriminating....

I kinda figured you were smart enough to figure out for yourself why they're defensive statements.
DODGE! Fail.

So...rather than engaging in intelligent debate, you are merely throwing up blanket statements in order to appear intelligent while actually not really saying anything. This allows you to feel good about dissing religion while at the same appearing cool to your friends.

Um...Mission accomplished?

I still love making fun of Jesus.
As Jesus liked making fun of Jesus. Weird how people feel the need to point out that they are still making fun of Jesus, or whoever, for their friends. I really wish people would get past high school...

My belief is that many Christians harp about Jesus but never really try to love like Jesus. And His love is beyond our comprehension. Your spirituality should be personal. You have a personal relationship with God -- not with your pastor, the Bible or anyone else.
As long as "many" is not "most", agreed.

Sins are humanly traits; to hate sin is to hate being human.
No. To hate sin is to want to explore what we as humans could do if we started looking past our baser traits and instincts, and really start accomplishing things. We need to realize that some things are and will always be intrinsically human, but we need to start debating which parts of our lives we need and which we can throw away.

"Hating the sin, not the sinner" is about realizing that we all have those areas where we engage in that aren't healthy for us, such as drinking too much or eating bacon sandwiches, and accepting that in others, that we are not all perfect, that we have flaws, and that we need to work on those flaws while accepting each other.

It's just about recognizing that we can help each other to become so much more if we accepted each other for who we are, and who we could be....

Really, I didn't know that I was doing that high school. Honestly, I really do love making fun of Him. Pre- and post- salvation.

Wow, that's a great post. Thanks. I didn't see it in that way.

It's not making fun of him that's the problem. It's the telling people you do. I mean, the guy lived at home until he was thirty, he went into his father's business, and his mom thought he walked on water, it just amazes me how many people brag about making fun of your average Jewish kid....[runs]
