Christina Aguilera On SNL Last Night

It's at times like these when I wish I lived in America. Either that or could recieve American t.v for free. That really is the dream.

I really understand your sentiment! Thank god for Youtube!

I really admire Christina Aguilera for her talented voice and her great music. I agree with a lot of the people that her ANOM performance was superb! The new choreagraphy made it exciting. I thought Hurt was better than the time she sang it at the VMAs - she wasn't strained and was comfortable singing in a high key.

It doesn't bother me when some people aren't into her music - we all have different tastes, so who cares. But it does annoy me, when people say that Christina can't sing and doesn't have emotion. When she performs, she's not all about elaborate stage setups (except for her tours). For example, a few years back, everytime she performed "Beautiful" the stage was quite simple and her attire was very modest. So, how did she pull off that song? She conveyed emotion - no one cared about the visuals, it was just the music.
For a music student in college, I must say that her voice (by pop standards) is incredible and rare. Someone said that all she does it just "stretch words out so that they're 50 syllables long". Um, its called a MELISMA, where a singer puts each syllable on each note. It's actually very difficult to learn, especially if you're trying to sing a long one like Christina does. So please, know what you're talking about.

If people don't think she can sing, then that is their opinion. I, for one, don't like the way her voice sounds most of the time. I like her songs, but her voice is just...froggish...I just don't like that sound. I'll never say she can't sing, but just because you think she can, doesn't mean other people have to say that too.

Christina is touring now. She is doing europe november/december. And in february, she starts her american tour! Buy a ticket! She sings so much better on tour then she sings on tv.. Weird though;)
