Excuse me? Aretha was one of many. What about Patti LaBelle? Gladys Knight? Diana Ross? And the countless others.

Aretha was lucky to get some great songs. She has a great voice but her attitude is so horrible. The way she acted during Divas Live is completely unacceptable. I don't care what's she done.

Her amount of awards does not excuse her attitude. I love her music, always have and always will, but I can't stand her. And I don't think the fact that she's had so many awards (that I honestly think should have gone to other artists) really matters.

Aretha's got such a body of work that her place is secure. However, her voice is starting to run down (it happens to everyone eventually). She's put out some good stuff since her prime, but nothing in the "classic" category for decades. At this point, it's clear who's doing the slumming.

And yes, she was bitchy during that show. Check the title again. It was called "VH1 Divas Live". Think about it.

Man, without copying it. Actually we both wish it was that record because Aretha would have torn that to pieces, but we'll do something brand new." More than simply a huge name to stand behind, he says Xtina has become "like a baby sister" to him.
