HHC: Oh word? What kind of projects are coming across the table?
DJ Premier: Well, I'm executive producing the Royce the 5'9” album. Christina got back at me because she's doing a duet with Aretha Franklin. I heard some of Whitney Houston's new BLEEP! and I might be taking on some new stuff for her.

Mariah has already done it. buh!

It's a shame Mariah's voclas have turned to shit these days though don't you agree? It must be all those pizza's and burger king meals she's been storing in her cheeks like an oversized hampster in a mini skirt.

That's going to be one loud performance. ;)

Jack: Uh, excuse me. As Aretha said to Gloria, Celine, Shania, and Mariah during Divas Live... "Are you trippin'? No one interrupts the Queen of Soul, bitch. Ok?"

Matt Damon: Well, I believe she also said, "Hey, Cuba, Canada, cowgirl, Crazy, get out of my light and away from my snacks, bitch."

:p

I'm not don't know how I feel about this. I can't stand Aretha. But I love Christina!

(And Mariah bitches!!!)

I dont know why you cant stand Aretha without her none of those other bitches would know anything about singing r&b get straight player

Excuse me? Aretha was one of many. What about Patti LaBelle? Gladys Knight? Diana Ross? And the countless others.

Aretha was lucky to get some great songs. She has a great voice but her attitude is so horrible. The way she acted during Divas Live is completely unacceptable. I don't care what's she done.

I didnt say she wasnt a big bitch, I'm saying no matter what she acts like shes had more r&b singles and grammys than all of them put together I really like her music but not her

Her amount of awards does not excuse her attitude. I love her music, always have and always will, but I can't stand her. And I don't think the fact that she's had so many awards (that I honestly think should have gone to other artists) really matters.

I never said she didn't have a lot of awards. I said I couldn't stand her. And I still don't.

Okay matt I understand now you like her music you just cant stand big fat ass got ya peace out

Aretha's got such a body of work that her place is secure. However, her voice is starting to run down (it happens to everyone eventually). She's put out some good stuff since her prime, but nothing in the "classic" category for decades. At this point, it's clear who's doing the slumming. :)

And yes, she was bitchy during that show. Check the title again. It was called "VH1 Divas Live". Think about it. :)

More information about the duet.

More recently, he's had a more successful working relationship with Christina Aguilera, whom he teamed up with on her Grammy-winning album Back to Basics. According to Premier, there's more coming.

"She just called me last Sunday because Aretha Franklin is doing a duets album and she's doing one of the cuts and she asked me to produce it. I said, 'Hell yes!' because I'm a big Aretha fan. Christina wants to keep it fun, sort of like when we did Ain't No Other
Man, without copying it. Actually we both wish it was that record because Aretha would have torn that to pieces, but we'll do something brand new." More than simply a huge name to stand behind, he says Xtina has become "like a baby sister" to him.

"She's about music. She pays respect. She's just cool too - Flavor Flav and I were over at her house playing Mario Kart drinking Blue Label scotch, playing on the turntables with her husband - he's nice on the turntables too. She's down to earth. I'm very protective of her now. Anyone violates her, I'll knock the **** out of them."
