Beautifull!
We live in a small town and the ratty little 1950's garlands with fake candles attatched they strap to the light posts are emberrasing.

In Cardiff this year they've gone flash strobe mental. The high street is a seizure waiting to happen.

It used to be my home town.

Kansas City's Country Club Plaza lights. There are over 260,000 bulbs and 80 miles ~ 129km of lights.

I'll try to take some pictures of the lights around my present neighborhood and post them later.

Wow thanks, I've lived in Denver for 6 months :D

The photo is actually from last year. The design is different every year; the display is privately funded. This year should be spectacular, it is going to have '150 year' theme as Denver just turned 150. Head downtown tonight; the big lighting ceremony is at 6:30 tonight.

The lights stay on until the Stock Show in January.

The Plaza Lighting Ceremony has taken place every Thanksgiving night since 1930. There is always a big crowd, especially when the weather is nice. Hotel rooms facing the Plaza are sold out a year in advance.

I went to the lighting ceremony a few years ago. The crowd that year was estimated at 170,000 people.

Well I currently live in a muslim country but was quite surprised when all the christmas decorations started appearing in the supermarkets and shopping malls. I came here to avoid all that glitter!!!!!
