Back in the 1985, a few days before Christmas, an elderly couple came to the front desk of the Detox Unit,with a large Fruit Basket. They explained that they received 2 of them and would never eat all that fruit before it went bad.
They then said they thought the patients might like it.
After the AA meeting the patients came out of the Dayroom and began eating the contents.
Two young female patients had picked some Walnuts from the bottom of the basket and asked if we had a nutcracker.
I responded: "She does not come in until 11pm."
