I did not recognize this song by its title, but as it began to play... I remember it from Pavarotti's Christmas Special - beautiful!

^ That's one of the Burt Carols - 15 Christmas carols written by Alfred Burt, musician, Michigan-born, but who spent his last years in California. The songs were written as Christmas greetings to his family and friends, but found a wider audience through Hollywood connections. He died in February, 1954, at age 33...this is the last song he wrote. (And by one of those "Hollywood connections." I love Peggy's introduction!)
