Hi guys, I have a problem with my computer and chrome.
Not a huge problem but still.

At times (depends on the website), my chrome freezes my computer and I have no choice but to hard reboot my computer, because I cant even do the CTRL ALT SHIFT C COmbo.

It always happens when I try to watch videos on tumblr, or it happened before when I went to the Java website.

It also happens sometimes when I watch videos online but never if the video is on my desktop.

If anyone knows whats happening, that'll be very nice !! thanks y'all

The most common cause of this type of problem is interference by some browser plugin (aka "extensions").

If you have installed any plugins try un-installing them.

thanks for ur help but I still have the problem... welle I guess Ill never go on tumblr again lol

From experience Chrome may be your problem. I tried and got so disgusted I removed it.

Could tumblr's recent changes be part of the problem?

I have seen this too. Chrome tends to fill up your memory. Ironically, it does that to make the experience lighter and faster. But I find myself having to stop the running processes and open a new window. How many tabs and windows do you usually keep open? Is your memory being maxed out?

well I dont open a lot of tabs, my memory tho seems very high when I go on chrome recently and it seems like theres many processes open when I open chrome.. weird

I had a similar problem so I downloaded Firefox instead.

Chrome doesn't play nice with either of my two computers and I don't to my knowledge have any extensions installed. When it acts up the only way to get Chrome to work again is to restart my computer.

The issue is Chrome will open up, and that is all it will do. It will not load any webpage, will not even let me into settings. Very annoying.

I encounter a similar problem. When opening up some websites (there doesn't seem to be any common element between them) the whole computer will freeze and thrash the HDD. Then after about 30 seconds, it's ready to play again. I have no idea what is going on. I don't know whether it's Flash playing silly buggers.

Disable Shockwave Flash plug in. That's 99% of the problems with Chrome.

How is one supposed to use YouTube then? Can you somehow tell it to load the HTML 5 videos instead of Flash ones?
