Are they ridiculous-looking on an old man? I wear them and I'm old (52). A twink at work commented that he likes them and that it made me look "youthful." That was a bit embarrassing because I'm not after that look. I now realize from observation that they are geared for the younger set and don't see them on old men. Don't worry, I'm not going to throw them away, but I'm just curious if that is the case (I could be wrong). So, what do the JUB fashion police think?

I've wore nothing but COnverses since I was 12.

I actually still own every pair i've ever owned. I plan on doing something cool with all of them one day.

I see some old men still wearing tight jeans and band tee shirts. I find it a bit odd, but I would say it made me think of them as being much younger.

I say rock the Chucks for as long as you can. :)

i say keep rocking your chucks! i do and i am 36. i dont have any plans on retiring my chucks anytime soon.

If those are size 12, they are an exact match of the ones waiting patiently in my closet for winter to finally pass. I'm 41, and I love my Chucks.

I'am 49 and have a pair in lime green. I like them, and really don't care what people think, neither should you.

Yes. I've seen two old(er) guys wearing them and while it's nice that they're going with the fashion, it just doesn't fit them at all. It's more of a fashion trend amongst teenagers which were also the ones who revived them from the 80s, where you drew things on their canvas. Basic sneakers on old men: yes, Chucks: no.

I plan on doing something cool with all of them one day.
Like, give them away to charity/a second-hand shop?

maybe he was trying to pick you up?

Well thats a good idea, but I was thinking of doing something a little more artsy. Like hang them all up somewhere in my house someday.

I dunno. I've just always kept them. I've got like 15 pair so far....

I'm older so I have started to wear just black Converse or black monotone, not my red or orange sneakers.
