CIA Concludes that Russia Influenced Election to Help Elect Trump

Even now, it is only an unamed "official" who claims the FBI concurrs. Your Secretary of State and I do not accept the word of "an official". Why don't they let the SOS and the Congress into the loop? If they have evidence, why is it a secret? Once again, the Russians know more sbout our government than we do. Perhaps Kerry and Congress should ask the Russians to tell them what Obama and CIA are keeping secret from them.

NBC is right now reporting that the FBI has released information showing why they conclude the (a) it was the Russians and (b) they were definitely trying to help Clinton.

I'm kinda loopy on cold plus anxiety meds right now so I didn't catch any details, but if the FBI had released this material then it's no longer just some unnamed official, it means the release is official. Oh -- they also conclude that the actions had to have been ordered by Putin himself.

The FBI is now backing the CIA.

WASHINGTON — The FBI is supporting the CIA's conclusion that Russia interfered in the presidential election with the goal of supporting Republican candidate Donald Trump.

In a message sent to employees, CIA Director John Brennan said he had spoken with FBI Director James Comey and James Clapper, the director of national intelligence.

Brennan said in the message that "there is strong consensus among us on the scope, nature, and intent of Russian interference in our presidential election."

A U.S. official who had seen the unclassified message from Brennan confirmed it to The Associated Press on Friday.

Wonder why Obama looked like this at the G20?

Screen-Shot-2016-09-06-at-1.52.50-PM.jpg

“Mr. Putin is well aware of my feelings about this, because I spoke to him directly about it,” Obama told NPR, referring to a sideline discussion between the two leaders at a G20 summit in China this past September.

In his year-end news conference on Friday, Obama said that since massive attacks on the Democratic National Committee were discovered one of his main concerns was preventing “potential hacking that could hamper vote counting, affect the actual election process itself.”

To that end, at the G20 summit Obama says he told Putin “to cut it out, and there were going to be some serious consequences if he didn’t.”

“In fact, we did not see further tampering of the election process,” Obama said. “But the leaks through WikiLeaks had already occurred.”

This means that at that time, the FBI would also have known of the tampering and hacking....but the Director chose instead to target Hillary.

Obama says that someday he will disclose the evidence he claims he has. Yeah, right.

I think the records will eventually be revealed, unabridged. There is a way the president can make sure they are not destroyed by the incoming administration.

Or something they want to preserve.

Democrats clearly have an scheme to delegitimize the election by blaming it on the Russians. I doubt if we will ever see the slleged evidence.

How did you learn about this? Who among the Democrats is leading the effort?

Nearly a decade and a half after the Iraq-WMD faceplant, the American press is again asked to co-sign a dubious intelligence assessment

The problem with this story is that, like the Iraq-WMD mess, it takes place in the middle of a highly politicized environment during which the motives of all the relevant actors are suspect. Nothing quite adds up.

If the American security agencies had smoking-gun evidence that the Russians had an organized campaign to derail the U.S. presidential election and deliver the White House to Trump, then expelling a few dozen diplomats after the election seems like an oddly weak and ill-timed response. Voices in both parties are saying this now.

Did the Russians do it? Very possibly, in which case it should be reported to the max. But the press right now is flying blind. Plowing ahead with credulous accounts is problematic because so many different feasible scenarios are in play.

On one end of the spectrum, America could have just been the victim of a virtual coup d'etat engineered by a combination of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, which would be among the most serious things to ever happen to our democracy.

But this could also just be a cynical ass-covering campaign, by a Democratic Party that has seemed keen to deflect attention from its own electoral failures.

There is a reason most people are not buying the Russia crap. I doubt they did anymore this election than they normally do.

Last election the big hacker source was China; they got into the DNC and Obama's campaign. The astounding thing is that knowing this happened, the Democarts didn't significantly beef up their security -- so they got hacked again.

I too am amazed at this. Anyone who watched the General Election knows that when this story broke, the media discussed the content of the emails for about a week or two, but afterwards focused their complete attention on the source of the hacking and clearly was attempting to divert attention away from the content of the emails ... undoubtedly under the direction of the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Isn't is lovely how our media takes orders from political parties?

Still during the election, the hacking was in the background. Now that Hillary lost the election, the story has been the source of the hacking and the media has been running this around the clock, non-stop. They absolutely do not discuss the content of the hacking whatsoever ... even in a mention.

This is absolutely pathetic and I think it's safe to say that a sleeping giant has awoken. It is clear that the citizens of the country no longer trust nor rely on the mainstream media ... and with good reason. Everyone realizes the media is not here for them, but finally the public gets the agenda-setting and slant more now than ever before.

And there wasn't much to talk about.
Not even Fox or Breitbart had much ammo from the actual content.

Meanwhile, in real news, the same Russian malware believed to be used in the DNC attack has been found on a computer belonging to a Vermont electric company.

The same can be said for the DNC after they rigged the Primary. We can go back and forth all you want.
