Sure, and they are still in place. He hasn't done much. DADT is still in place. He's not coming out speaking on prop 8. Neither is she. But show me where she is speaking for herself on gay issues.

I have to say Jasun makes a good point. Imagine if John McCain won the election and was president. Certainly Cindy would not be speaking up like this now. As John would be speaking out against same sex marriage, she would be standing behind her man as always, with a big smile on her face pretending to agree with everything he says.

But on the other hand, we can use all the support we can get. I just wish support of this caliber came sooner when it could have been most influential.

Elvin, I think what it comes down to is that you're willing to take any support the gay community can get and maybe that's a good thing.

I think this is just a cynical attempt to get some gay support for the McCain brand. I don't think either one of them gives a shit either way but they see this is a way to take some "evil old coot" edge off Daddy. I don't like seeing the gay community manipulated.

If she really believes is gay equality, don't just pose for an air-brushed picture with your mouth taped shut, get out.. speak out.. donate some of your billions to the Overturn 8 campaign... At this point it's just publicity and lip service and book promotion.
