Cindy McCain endorse gay marriage movement

I'm seeing a few Republicans lately coming out in favor of gay marriage.

 I know, right?

It's always good to have support for the cause, but honestly: How much does her opinion mean to the voters? I think Bill Clinton and even Dick Cheney announcing that they're now in favor of gay marriage has made far more of an impression on the voters. I know Bill Clinton is like Jesus to the Democrats.

Our brave politicians! No one of important influence in favor of gay marriage until out of office.

I think this deserves a little bit more attention. It's just so awesome to see a Republican support us!

I wish more Republicans would follow suit. A true Republican shouldn't give a damn about gay marriage anyway. Certainly not supporting federal mandates banning it, which would give a central government even more power.

Then again, they also wouldn't want a federal mandate allowing it. John McCain actually had a decent stance that a true Republican should have: leave it to the states. Federal government has never had a place in the issue of marriage.

However, sometimes states are stupid, so it's nice to see a couple Reds joining the fight against injustice.

I laughed at that image, because all these guys I know have done that Bouska No H8 for themselves (it's the trendy thing to do here in LA) and there's Cindy McCain!

I just started a new thread on Cindy McCain--glad I saw this one, and hope the moderators combine them.

Classy lady. I think her husband supports gay marriage privately.

Since this is a matter of civil rights, I know eventually everyone will get on board.

I give her credit, regardless. What a beautiful lady.

John McCain wasn't too bad-looking when he was young, either...

Why doesn't Michelle Obama come out for gay marriage?? Oh, maybe she's against it???

Right on Cindy!!!

She may do that, after her husband's term is over. While I do appreciate Cindy's gesture, how come she didn't say anything in 2008?

Still, good for her.

Do you suppose one of the sons might be gay
and that's why she's come out in favor of gay marriage?
It's a thought...

Only in your wildest pipe dreams will the Republican Party assume the mantle of leading gay rights.

Fact remains that no Republican majority in any state has ever advanced a gay rights issue.

Really cos I live in the one of the most liberal, progressive, non religious states in the Union, and it's against the law for there to be gay marriage. Is that the Dems at work???Both seem to be them same tank if you ask me.

Well we know her husband (Obama) is against gay marriage, he has the same opinion of gay marriage as Carrie Prejean, and he's the head of the Democratic Party.

Gay marriage I don't think really is a political issue as much as a generational issue. The old ones will die off and the young ones will change things.

I'm so sick of seeing posts about this with all you silly homos out there celebrating in the streets about some meaningless twitty glamour shots. This means nothing other than some rich old bitch trying to see if she can fool a few of you people into voting for her homophobic husband since he's in a bit of a close one this year.

I'm sure a bunch of people will happily vote for him thinking that they're voting for an ally. And then he'll continue to support every anti-gay law he can find to sign.

If that old hag really believed in gay rights, we'd have heard about it by now. She doesn't. She's not your friend and when the chips are down that woman will stab you in the back if it suits her.

But you're all so desperate for some scraps thrown your way that you're all ordering framed prints from the website and are too busy to really see you're being duped.
