I so love the boys who are uncut -- and several articles are saying that is does NOT reduce HIV risk.

Circumcision Doesn't Reduce HIV Risk in Gay Men, Study Says
By John Lauerman

Oct. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Circumcision, which can slow the spread of the AIDS virus from women to men during sex, doesn't appear to provide the same protective effect for men having sex with other men, U.S. researchers said today.

While circumcised gay men were 14 percent less likely to be infected with the AIDS virus than uncircumcised men, the difference missed the level needed to show that it wasn't the result of chance, said researchers led by Gregorio Millett, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention behavioral scientist. The results from an analysis of 15 earlier studies that included 53,567 homosexual men were published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

Circumcision is the surgical removal of a flap of skin from the tip of a man's penis. Three large African studies have shown that circumcision can lower heterosexual men's risk of infection by the AIDS virus, HIV, by almost two-thirds. Better designed studies might show the procedure helps certain gay men, if they exclusively participate as the insertive partner in anal sex, to avoid HIV, Millett said in a telephone interview.

Hey thanks for the information. I am uncut and always wondered what the risk was, and now I know it's that the foreskin is thinner skin and more susceptible to HIV transmission. Hopefully receptive oral sex has not posed a risk!

Thats great and all but circumcision is just much more sanitary in my opinion because you never know if the guy you are with properly cleans under his foreskin or not. Also uncircumsized mens wives are more at risk for cervical cancer because of the various strains of bactieria that love to live under the foreskin. When cervical epithelial cells are constantly exposed to these microbes and being killed off the new generation of cells are more likely to 'transform' into cancerous cell because of the high turnover rate between cellular generations

^ So, how do you tell if a cut man washed "down there" today or not?

Oh yeah, it's a really huge difference if one pulls the foreskin back before entering the shower. But well this thread wasn't about that, I will stop here now ;)

Circumcision damages the brain of men who undergo it as babies, resulting in psychossomatic symptons such as passive-aggressive misanthropy, sadomasochistic tendencies and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, because circumcision damages dendrites that are rich in dopamine-storing synapses and the vasoconstriction caused by the pain that happens during it destroys the capillaries that carry blood to the nucleus caudate. the constant abrasion of the glans in the clothes jams the process of dendrital webbing in the mid brain, resulting in dissociative psychossomatic disorders including paranoid schizofrenia, epilepsy and especially autism. So the next time Ricky enters his school with a gun after having spent the whole night snorting Ritalin and kills 30 of his classmates and then blows his brains out, you cam blame it on his crcumcision.

Okay... I'll bite...

A lot of straight men are pigs when it comes to hygiene, DaemonFox--and I'm the kind of guy to whom women confess their experiences...

Female friends confide in me about their experiences too. For the past five years...

:help:

I... Uh... No. I'll just leave this alone. I say that because I'm actually sitting in an office with walls of various textbooks regarding this very field of study... I've already argued several of these points (not in regards to circumcision though) today and I don't feel like dealing with it again...

Straight from a man with Ph.D. in psychology: There is nor has there ever been any case of circumcision causing any type of brain damage resulting in the aforementioned psychosis. By that reasoning, any form of pyshical damage (cut, scrap, etc.) would leave lasting psychological effects on the afflicted person.

I'd LOVE to know where you got that information from.

his dick ;)

I think he might be teasing, Lightsage...

I know. :D

I just needed that extra burst of adrenaline to hold me over until I finally get food in my stomach in two hours. :(

I'm just a demented person that grew up around psychology so it is now part of me and I absolutely HATE it when people get it wrong whether they mean to or not. And people wonder why I don't pursue it as a career... *%%*

Remember kids, don't use big words if you don't know what they mean or how to spell them.

The only differences between cut and uncut are the purely medical issues previously mentioned.

There are no actual psychological issues besides being happy or sad either way.

So you post the opinion of one PhD in pyschology that it doesen't cause any of the psychossomatic disturbances I mentioned, and you believe this carries more weight than the public statement made by the APA in 1999 that circumcision does cause all these pathologies? Also, I ma finishing pre-med and I am going to med shcool beggining next year, so I have some authority to speak on this subject.

I think he might be teasing, Lightsage...

how am I teasing? I dare you to prove anything that I wrote is wrong. Is it a mere coincidence that the U.S, that despite having only 4% of the World's population but one of the highest infant circumcision rations, has the highest rate of adolescent boys on Ritalin, benzodiazepines, arrested for violent crimes and the highest rate of adolescent boys shooting their shools? I think not. And also, how am I joking if I gave a detailed explanation of why circumcision causes all these pathologies from the point of view of physiology, biochemistry and anatomy?

And this pysychologist is insane. How can he compare a little scratch in the arms, legs, etc, with having the entire epidermial system of your genitalia removed? Obviously, having the entire skin of your genitals vut and the nerves that lay underneath ripped off will be far more traumatic than a little scratch in a far less sensitive area of the body than the genitals. What a retard. No wonder the American unbiversity system is in shambles.

There are at least four spelling mistakes in your post.

you're all nuts.

A simple surgical procedure will resolve this problem: Bilateral orchidectomy.

There - no more nuts.
