Claire McCaskill for VP

And Claire as well as what was stated above could help with those women who just can't get over the Hillary loss. She just might be seen as too inexperienced even though she has traveled abroad as a Senator(and I believe former senators wife) to learn more about the world.

No, her ex-husband was convicted on drug charges...and her current husband is a multi-millionaire Republican nursing home operator.

I lean more toward Sebelius than McCaskill personally. She has a similar reputation to Obama for reaching across the aisle.

Who has given Obama that reputation besides himself or his supporters? I can't find any proof of it. What bipartisan legislation (or any legislation for that matter) has he sponsored or championed. When has he broken ranks with his party to work with a Republican on important issues? McCain has done it, show me what he has done.

You realize, we're probably not going to know anything until July ....

But ..... I think Hillary dug herself a grave with her speech last night. She killed whatever chance she had to become VP. She may be able to repair the damage in the coming weeks.

But it seems to me, and possibly some of you as well, that the only way to pre-empt not giving the VP nod to Clinton is by giving to someone even more qualified than her - and that person is Bill Richardson. The man had the best credentials of any of the candidates, He is immensely qualified for the spot. That would be a hard argument to debate.

Yes please Obama add Richardson to the ballot, another minority! What a fiasco that will be!..|

CNN is reporting that Obama is considering Joe Biden"another loser" and McCain is leaning toward Romney. The McCain/Romney ticket sounds like a winner to me!:=D:

I am half tempted to ignore you JOUPER, b/c u are pissing me off immensely right now....

Of course it doesn't matter that Clinton and Obama, as fellow DEMOCRATS, shared positions on some issues, nor does it matter that if McCain wins, then he will probably pull a Bushite move on us, or that as Democrats, you need to stick together to beat the Republicans. And of course the petty schoolyard jealousy and poor sportsmanship is so much more important then voting for the person who will most likely do the best for the country, and probably do quite well on the international level as well.

Lets all face it, Obama will most definatly do a better job then McCain, even though Clinton has been doing her best to make him seem anything but a successful future president. Clinton will have to get on her hands and knees and grovel before Obama will even consider her as his running mate.(note I am saying this from my POV, I doubt he would let it go that far, possibly only as far as a formal apology for calling him an elitist so many times)

One of the most important things to remember about the US Presidency is that the President is both the Head of State and the Head of Government. Meaning he has to be both the figurehead and the backbone of the American Government. Would Clinton have been a good figurehead, probably. But would she focus on the issues, and stay out of the bs politics she was pulling during the nomination race? I doubt it. And McCain, he would most likely be at least a proficient, at best good, head of government, but he could never be a figurehead, he just doesn't have the charisma, or the connection with the people. I don't know how well Obama will be at being both, but from what I can tell, he will be better then Clinton and McCain would be.

And tell me, why are you so arrogant to assume that because your candidate didn't make the cut, that the Republicans deserve another 4-8 years? Seriously, do a favor to everyone and put aside the pettiness and childish bullshit, and vote as a Democrat, as all Democrats should, or don't vote. It doesn't matter if I'm not American either, American politics is one of the focuses of the world, in part because of Bush and his "War on Terror", and what the USA does could possibly save the human race from self-destruction, or condemn us to burn in a rain of fire and death.

I don,t really understand why I,m pissing you off so much, but I will apologize anyway,I,m sorry if I offend you.As far as being a faithful DEMOCRAT I feel much like Harriett Christian who feels her party has left her and not she abandoning them.I have registered as a REPUBLICAN and will support Senator McCain along with many of my family and friends!

Have fun with Harriet and the rest of the repugs who DON'T have your interests in mind. That all sane people think she is a nutcase is all I need to know about your values.

Exactly what aren't you guys getting, it's Hillary as VP. She has the base he can build on. Together they are unstoppable.

I know lots of people who plan to vote for Obama -- unless Clinton is on the ticket; then they'd just stay home.
My guess is Clinton would cost Obama votes overall... as she's been doing already.

McCain/Romney: a pair of authoritarians who believe in religious discrimination and have little respect for the rest of the Bill of Rights... a big step toward making the Bush police state structure permanent.

Maybe the Party has left you. If that is the case, good riddance. For every angry Feminist that leaves the Party, upset that a "woman" did not receive the nomination ... more good-hearted Republicans come over, like myself, along with my family (who has always voted Republican) to the Democratic side. I can't wait until the debates when McCain makes a full of himself. That will make your support of him even more hysterical.

I think we have to step back and ask ourselves just how much do we know about the other people who post here. I think it would be a fair assumption that Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" could well reach here to JUB. Just because someone calls themselves a democrat doesn't mean they are one.

To embrace McCain is to embrace overturning Roe-V-Wade, a continuation of war in Iraq, and a snub in the nose to universal health care.

No one who purports to be a feminist would join McCain in repealing a woman's right to choose.

Just my thoughts ....

The people who go to the Republicans because of this were never Democrats, but Repugs in a Dems skin.

So good riddance Jouper, because anyone who would vote for McCain, and would willingly usher in another 4-8 years of the crap the world has been force-fed for the past 8 years, is not a Democrat in any way shape or form, and if McCain does win, I will laugh when you look at your rights go right down the crapper, as well as every lunatic who goes from Dem to Repug, because you will know that YOU helped to cause this, and YOU have possibly destroyed a once proud nation.
