Clash of the Burger Wannabes!

Meh, I dunno. The only one on the list I've had is Culver's, and the franchise here is owned by a guy I personally know who's quite a homophobe. "The homosexuals are chipping away at things bit by bit and we've gotta stop them", hiding his bigotry behind a veil of religious pieousness, and all that crap. Blech.

On a lighter note, in college I had a floormate who had a sticker on his car of the In-N-Out Burger logo modified so it said "In-N-Out Urge". Hilarious, especially since I didn't know what In-N-Out was.

And where did Chipotle have its start? I have no idea why Denver is a hot bed for "fast-style" restaurants, but there ARE worse things to be known for. Here's hoping "Mad Greens" - yet another Denver fast-style invention - takes off as well.

Ok--Just got back from Smashburger--it was pretty good.

The restaurant was a bit on the small side and I bet it really gets crowded at lunch time. I stepped into line and was waited on fairly quickly.

I ordered a classic burger, fries, a side salad, and a diet coke D) it came to a total of 11.03 with tax.

I was given my drink cup for self-service and a number to let them know which table to deliver the order to.

It took only a couple of minutes for my order to come out to me. The fries were nothing special at all--the burger was good--I did bite into a big chunk of gristle.

It is a somewhat out of the way for me to say I would eat there again.

And the burger itself reminded me of the new Angus Burger at McDonald's--both were pretty good.

I really do not know these chains, except for In 'N' Out Burger. I've been to In N' Out a few times and what stood out to me was the quick service, even during busier times. However, the food was decent; it was nothing exceptional, but I did enjoy it.

My favorite burger joint is probably Burger King or Wendy's.

Never heard of them before. Oh well. I rarely eat fast food, and when I do, it's usually Jack in the Box....
