Hello Boys,
The remake of "Clash of the Titans" is coming in March. I can't wait to see this!

sweet! No clock owl? haha.

I'll give this a watch. I was a big fan of the original in all its cheesiness. :P

Also a fan of Hans Matheson. ;)

I'm a Sci-Fi Geek so I'll check this out...I saw the preview at the theatre and it simply wasnt enough footage...

The movie may be in trouble. It is scheduled for release in March, but they will still be filming in January:

Clash of the Titans in trouble?

D.I.S.H.
Scheduled for release in March 2010, crew will still be shooting in January.

It's not usually a good sign.

The 'Clash of the Titans' remake is reportedly going through studio enforced reshoots, which often means aspects are seriously problematic. Not to mention, the screen telling of the myth of Perseus is scheduled for release in March and the reshoots are said to be taking place in January. That is cutting it very close. But, according to Total Film, 'Titans' star Sam Worthington (also the star of 'Avatar') is putting a positive spin on the turn of events.

Speaking at a Los Angeles screening of 'Avatar' on Friday night, Worthington said, 'We're going to be going back and shooting more scenes for it. They [Warner Bros] cut loose with some money so we can add to it. We're going to be shooting more scenes in January, so we're going to be right up against it – the movie comes out in March.'

Worthington went on to explain, 'There were some creaky parts. But they are the parts that we knew were creaky and that we knew were going to be creaky going into it. The studio is also letting us add some gods and scenes. And they're talking about making the movie a 3D film.'

The trailer makes it look like it has more in common with Mortal Kombat than Clash of the Titans. Wrong tone.

My right arm got quite a work out many years ago from the original.

Remaking this film is an insult to the memory of Ray Harryhausen.
The Harryhausen movies are classics, no doubt about that. But I have no issue with remaking a film like this to take advantage of today's technology. Just as long as the movie as a whole is good. But I'll hold my final judgment until it's released.

I guess the Studios decided to release more "preview-footage"...Last night at the theatre the additional previews really looked good...More on the "Huge epic" side...

Whoever decided to go back and re-work or add scenes probably made the right decision..

The release date is March 26...

I saw it on Saturday. It was a decent "Sci-Fi" Flick considering the studio made the Producers/Director go back and add-on or re-do shit...For the most part the movie held my attention from begining to end..

It's been YEARS since I watched the original..But many scenes brought back flashbacks...I thought Harry Hamlin the original "Percy" would make some sort of cameo...

And Sam Worthington must've worked on his Legs & Thighs like a Mad-Man for this film...His Legs were so Skinny in "Avatar"...

His Legs & Thighs were on-point and HOT..

Does anyone know the Actors name that was the main Warrior Leader? He had long gray braids and tried to convince Percy to keep Zeus's sword........That Fucker was something HOT...

(And my theatre didnt have it in 3-D)

Having never seen the original, I don't know how much better or worse the new version is.

A star-studded cast and a half-naked Harry Hamlin? Effects by Ray Harryhausen? What could be better than that?

You decide:

The first Clash of the titans was much better. I just saw the new one in 3-D. They took out everything that made the original special. They changed the plot so much that it kinda ruined the movie. Visually it looked great and of course the effects are much better than the original but it had no heart. I will say Sam Worthington is HAWT! He never goes shirtless in movies though. I wonder why? He seems like he's in great shape. And I don't know what witches movie you are talking about but a similar movie to me is the old Sinbad movie with Jane Seymour in it. I use to watch that and Clash of the titans all the time as a kid. I even had Clash of the titans toys from the movie.

I'm a special effects junkie, so I pretty much loved the movie. I didn't shell out the extra cash for the 3D version, but I think that was for the best. Apparently, there are mixed reactions toward the 3D conversion of the movie. In 2D, the movie was awesome visually. The guys were hot of course, but the highlight for me was watching the scenes with the gods. Liam Neeson in all his Jovian splendor; and Ralph Fiennes channeling his inner Voldemort to play Hades, made me giddy as a schoolboy.

saw it today... what an utterly mediocre affair that was. its not terrible, but everything about it is just so uninspired and functional. i havent seen the original, but if people still remember it, it must be better than this, because this version will surely be forgotten instantly.

i also have to say that im really not a fan of sam worthington. hes just so comletely devoid of any charm, and not even that hot for movie star standarts. couldnt they have gotten somebody who is able to bring a little spark and swagger? chris evans, josh holloway, jason statham, tahmoh penikett... i can think of so many actors who would do a better job, how did worthington end up with starring roles in already three blockbusters? what does hollywood see in him? hes like the male kristen stewart.
