Class Action Lawsuit Filed in Brooklyn Bridge Mass Arrest

Kulindahr, I'm referencing the BB arrests.

Since WhiteEagle mentioned it, I'll point out that under McCain's proposed law, the mayor of New York could have decided these were all terrorists, had the military arrest them as accused terrorists...

and they wouldn't have been allowed access to attorneys, been permitted a phone call, and the military could have detained them indefinitely without having to inform anyone at all they were even being held.

The little video just shows the police being attacked by a mob and the police trying to regain order or protect themselves.

WTF are these 99% they keep bringing up. I'm sure not in that 99%.

I'm not a big fan of the Tea Party, but at least they didn't act anything like these people. Next thing will be they will using flower urns, gutters for toilets.

You didn't answer my question.

Jack you really need to learn how to read. Look at my post #14 and see where it was the police that blocked the bridge.
The cops in blue are part of the 99%, the ones in white are the assholes.

You're spinnin' again!

Good lord -- no one attacked any cops. Get your eyes checked.

What ifs? President Obama on his own could have designated them enemy combatants & terrorists. Then the CIA would have a target rich environment for their drones. That can be done under existing 'law'

… The "pepper spray" incident

… the latest case
… Watch the cop in the white shirt

White Eagle,

Is this thread intended to discuss all incidents of possible misconduct relating to the “Occupy Wall Street” protests, or is it intended to discuss the lawsuit [described in the thread title and linked in the opening post] against Mayor Bloomberg et al? Though there are some generalities mentioned in the complaint, the Huffington Post article and YouTube video linked by palemale do not appear directly related to the Brooklyn Bridge incident, which constitutes the basis for the lawsuit.

I'm not really following what you're saying. The video in your link looks like what I posted. The person I quoted said the police blocked both ends, and I still don't see any violence started by the demonstrators.
The two people we both quoted had the same kind of report, in my view.

Obama gets more cash from Wall Street than any other politician. The protesters appear to receive monetary support form unions, liberal web sites and action groups, former Obama czars like Van Jones (someone remind Biden who he is).

Who exactly are these people protesting against?

I've been to there web site. They say they have no leader (sounds like the Tea Party). Lots of nudity (not like the Tea Party).

It's almost like they are promoting anarchy but don't really want to say it. I'm sure it gives people like Van Jones a woody when he thinks about the possibility of a USSA.

PS: If you block the right of way of a police vehicle or emergency vehicle the protest is no longer peaceful.

If you mean the answer to the question in this post it's:
Again, as said in previous posts and other threads they are protesting the money that wall street bankers anc CEOs etc that they steal from We The People. Now again another protest is against the police brutality.
Now about this:

Obama, his people in Wall Street, people from Obama's administration, and the unions are running the show now -- they are in charge -- not Bush or the Republicans.

Ya got a cite on this? You are famous for making statements and not giving a cite on what it is. You know I'm not gonna believe anything you say.

^^

In the glass bead video (very long) the biggest chant was "take the bridge" and after a while they started walking toward the small line of police officers.

Gladly, here's a list of unions.

http://occupywallst.org/article/occupywallstreet-union-march-foley-square-wall-str/

Notice the communist raised fist in the organization's logo. Oh, I forgot, there is no organization ... even they have already stated that some websites are not theirs. This leads to the question -- just who are these people?

http://occupywallst.org/forum/site-has-nothing-do-us/

No wonder they didn't like the occupywallst.org site -- first think you notice is US flags.

If you look hard enough on their site - you'll find Van Jones.

PS: don't be so sensitive. Typical close minded liberal.

Um... no. I don't know where you got this idea from.

First, the law prohibits the CIA from operating inside U.S. borders.
Second, the drone program could not be conducted within U.S. borders.

LOL  You believe the CIA doesnt operate inside the USA. Really?

So you're saying that a video showing protesters behaving themselves is supposed to prove that the police brutality in the first video didn't happen?

I'm trying to stay on point or on topic. Read the title of this thread. I dont believe it was dark when the BB arrests were made. My contention is the marchers broke the law at the BB so they were arrested. Read the NYT reporter's blog

The video doesn't show any non-peaceful assembly. Ergo, the police were out of line.
