nathan, it was worth it. they didn't do anything to change the program. the 'new' footage was only limited to making the starships look pretty. keep an eye out for it and let me know what you think.

I was told they got a new singer to do the starting theme too.
i heard that as well, but in this one it was the theme music only. wasn't the voice part added in season 2 or something like that?

Anything regarding the scores?i had thought I saw they were making changes in the music,but the classic scores were so memorable in their own right-Amok Time is a stand out in that area,for instance...no differences noted in that area?
not a thing john. in fact, with all the technology available to film makers in this digital age, I was so pleased to see that the phaser fire and the subsequent explosions were the same as in the original only brighter and cleaner. let me say this, it looks like they mirrored the same effects shots with today's technology and with the work done to clean up the original images it all stands out. it was all remastered.

dammitmy local (if detroit is considered local) cbs affiliate is not carrying it.
and the seattle one isn't either.
check the CW.
it was on last night at 7PM on the local CW affilate in Buffalo.
and it's going to be on TV Land in November.

I don't get CW. I get WNYO which is WB/MY TV/whatever it is they call themselves now.
I can order NYC/LA/Chicago CW stations but I have to pay extra (I checked the digital cable TV guide for the whole week, nothing on any channel my digital box is capable of receiving).
The /remastered/ series will be on tv land? i may have to order that channel for november.

unless you have access to the American version of TV land I wouldn't bother.
and I just checked the CW and it's not going to be on this saturday.
I think I'm just going to download the episodes.

Just got finished watching Balance of Terror and Miri. What a joy. It looks and sounds absolutely terrific. I can't wait for more.
That was the one thing I was disappointed with... My local station only showed BOT. For whatever reason, the did not air Miri.
Damn.....just got home from the airport and missed it! Maybe I can see it "on demand!"
