Final Fantasy VII/VII/IX, Tekken 3, Wipeout 3, Crash Bandicoot (all), Spyro (I think I played 2)
 
Twisted Metal, hands-down. It was like a fantasy come to life for me, the ultimate in vehicular combat. And Warhawk, still one of the best flying combat games. Damn, now I gotta go fire up the ol' PS1 and blow shit up.......
 
omg i loved the PS1 between that and the super nintendo, omg, there went my childhood.

i think that some of my favorites were

Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 8
Medevil
crash bandicot
grand turismo
tekken 2
silent hill

and there's a bunch more but that's all i can think of. i really think that PS1 was really one of the best eras for video games. more so than now but maybe its just me.
 
Final Fantasy 7/8/9, Chrono Cross, Twisted Metal games, Vigilante games, Brave Fencer Musashi was great too. Tekken was my fav fighting game at the time. So many others it's hard to decide!
 
Twisted metal for sure, I remember How happy we when my brother and I beat it. Splinter Cell, and Sparo.
 
Ah, the first Silent hill. As terrible as the control scheme was, it was the beginning of my survival horror craze. Resident evil, FFVII, good stuff.
 
Who here actually liked Castlevania Chronicles? Personally I loved the artwork and redesign of Simon.

I really like and miss FF 7, 8 and 9 as well. I also miss BFMusashi. That have a PS 2 version of it but I think PS 1 was way better.
 
My main obsessions were from the Final Fantasy series to the first couple of RE games (minus Survivor) and of course I can't forget about Chrono Cross/Trigger <3
