So I'm having some problems computer wise, I think I may have a secret virus running around and I want to formated my harddrive.

My father will be doing this for me, and I need to know how to clean out all the gay porn that could be hidden secretly just for him to find before he does so.

What can I do besides deleting history, cookies and internet files to get rid of it? I can't find it but I'm sure it's there somewhere.

Thanks in advance!

Well if you can download still you need some kind of registry cleaner.I have one called registry mechanic. That is suppose to get rid of all that. It does cost money to get but you might find a free on if you search.
Good luck!..|

HIRE A GAY FRIEND to do it!!

YOUR FATHER???? What??? Are you asking for it???

Its always funny to me when a son has used his Dad's computer for some porn searching. Heres what I have found. Go "C drive, program files, netscape folder, user folder, default folder, cache folder, it will bring up perhaps hundreds of photos some you did not even look at, use edit command to select all, then on the left side, select delite. have fun!

I don't have a netscape folder...I'm guessing that's cause I don't use netscape. Plus there's hardly anything inside of my Internet Explorer folder...and I'm pretty sure there's no porn in there.

Where else might it be?

If you have some time you can go to Start --> Search and do a search for any video and photo files. EVERYTHING will pop up and you'll have to look through it all, but it might be worth it for you.

Don't get your dad to do it, do it yourself it's easy. You can Google for the instructions. Might be worth running an anti virus program first or restoring to an earlier point before it stated going pear shaped.

Unless you want to get it ultra-squeaky-clean, the process of clearing temporary internet files, cookies & history should do the trick.

I use CCleaner. It's a free program from here and in addition to cleaning temp files etc, it also clears out the registry. Many of my friends have it and have had no problems with it. It works on all browser programmes too.

I assume that you use Windows XP.

1. Create a new user account for yourself (Start > Control Panel > User Accounts).

2. With an archiving program (like WinZip or WinRAR or even Windows Compressed Folders), store all your stuff into a single file. Then change the file extension. EXAMPLE: the original name was "MYSTUFF.ZIP", change it to "MYSTUFF.OLD" or so.

3. Move all your files to your new user account, including the one that contains your stuff.

4. Log in with your new user account, and delete the old one using again User Accounts.

5. Check if there still are files related to your old user account in the C:\Documents and Settings folder. If there are, delete them.

6. Clean your System Restore information: right click on My Computer, select Properties, then click the System Restore tab. Select "Turn off System Restore on all drives", then click Apply.

7. Turn System Restore on again, by unchecking "Turn Off System Restore..." and clicking OK.

I don't think anyone would be able to find your "sensitive information" again. To open your files, rename "MYSTUFF.OLD" to "MYSTUFF.ZIP" again and open the file.

I know it isn't that fast and easy, but I know by experience that it's the safest.

Oh, running CCleaner would also help, especially with the Windows Registry, that piece of junk.

You can also try this:

I routeinly go to tools, delete history, delete cookies, delete files everytime I view naughty pics, yet I still end up with hundreds of pics I didn't save on my computer. Others have access to my computer and this could be diasterious........................... Thanks guys,

If he is coming by just to format, then he probably won't even be going into your files...still, just in case you can try 2 things...(these ideas are with the assumption that you don't care about keeping anything since he's reformatting anyway)- 1) trying hitting F11 upon start up...some computers have this function as a reformat in which you'll reformat yourself or 2) much simpler- create a new admin profile and delete the others

I just downloaded the CCleaner program and I must say that's a good tool to use. Not that I have to put away all the porn I have, but it's a good thing to use when you still have an old pc. It gives you more free space on your harddrive. Thanks guys for the hint.
