The Cleveland International Film Festival is coming from March 30th to April 9th for in person at Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland. They will stream films in the U.S. from April 10th to April 17th (but don't have a license to stream outside of the U.S.). It can be found at www.clevelandfilm.org for more information and a list of films shown. There will be 146 feature films and 182 shorts from 73 countries. From past experience about half will be in English and the rest in other languages with English subtitles. Before the pandemic about 100,000 people attended during the 10 days. Last year they streamed 50,000 movies with no in theater attendance.

^ Tickets can be purchased starting March 18th and are $16 for in person and $10 for streaming and there is a discount for a t0 pack.

The film festival has started. I bought tickets for 11 movies/showings starting tomorrow night.

I want to see "Cat Daddies"

So far I've seen 5 movies. 2 were okay, 2 were good (1 was a documentary), and 1, Beautiful Minds a French comedy, was really enjoyable. 6 more to go.

So far I have seen 10 of the 11 movies I planned to see. The last few years I have not been as excited about the festival as I was several years ago, but it still interests me. The best film I have seen so far this year is "Beautiful Minds" which is in French, but they have English subtitles at the theater. Thad1527 was in Cleveland for a few days and saw some of the films with me.

I was surprised when I was sitting in a restaurant downtown that a few people walked by walking their dogs. When I think of dog walkers in the city I think of New York. I have never seen dog walkers in downtown Cleveland before and it dawned on me that for 50 years people didn't live in downtown Cleveland and wouldn't have dogs downtown at work with them, but now people live in downtown Cleveland.

The in person viewing is done now. Now is the streaming portion of the film festival. I haven't ordered anything to be streamed yet.
