The Cleveland International Film Festival is on site in Playhouse Square, downtown Cleveland from March 22 through April 1st and will be streaming from April 2 through April 9. They have 121 feature films and 199 shorts from 67 countries. There have been some changes from past years that I have noticed. In the past most films were shown twice during the event, but now most films will only be shown once during the festival. I haven't found the prices on the site yet. From past experience many of the films can be streamed, but not all. Also, they have only a limited number of copies of each film to stream and send one copy to you for 48 hours and take it back after that time and send to the next person. Streaming is only in certain states in the U.S. per their contract. I will try to figure out how to post a connection to their site later.

On Friday I saw Stories Not To Be Told which was a comedy about five different couple's romances that didn't turn out as expected. It was in Spanish with English subtitles. I enjoyed it and would recommend it. Today I saw Aliens Abducted My Parents and Now I Feel Kinda Left Out. It was in English and I enjoyed it but not as much as the earlier one. I also saw Comedy Shorts 1, which was a string of nine shorts, all in English. Two were funny and the rest were less so, but okay.

I saw Kindling today. It was a world premiere and Thad1527 has been in Cleveland this weekend and he really liked this. It was in England and they had some accents and there were a few times I didn't understand so I thought it was good. We also saw the Shorts Program 4 which was six short films. All of them were good and 4 of the 6 were excellent.

Today I saw Finding Her Beat about a group of women taiko drummers and The Happiest Man in the World about a couple in Sarajevo who finds out they were on opposite sides during the war.

So far I have seen eight movies and have seven more to see on site. Then next week I will stream one more.

Today I saw a group of Dream Maker Shorts and 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture. Both were good.

Today I saw Joyland, which was Pakistan, and January from Latvia, and Comedy Shorts, which was 9 shorts mostly from the USA except one from France.

Today I saw Larry, which was in Hungarian, and Before I Change My Mind, made in Canada. I have now seen 15 movies. About 2/3 of them I enjoyed and am glad that I saw and about 1/3, although not bad, I didn't care one way or the other and could have missed them. I have one more I will stream next week.

Today I streamed All Man: The International Male Story. It was a documentary about the back story behind the male-order catalog.
